Just at safe side, always see the highest temp or trust those software that come with mobo. smile.gif

according to highest and bundled software (Aegis Panel), it's 76°C doh.gif, it's high isn't it...

try to hit 3.6GHz, but got to load @1.6vCore which is already 65°C on idle... doh.gif

what the... 1.6vcore for 3.6ghz? shocking.gif 1.6vcore i can run 3.89Ghz... currently running 3.4ghz @ 1.34v stable idle temp 39C load 49C... or 3.6Ghz @ 1.40v ...

why my cpu-z not detect my core speed 3.2GHz..but from my computer properties it detect..

cpu-z sometime detect 3.2 when load...i already close in bios that program..

still new in oc c2d proc... notworthy.gif notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

also dun know a lot bout timing ram in c2d...

Yeah, like gengstapo said, you need to disable a few things, specifically the C1E and EIST option in BIOS.

However, they are power saving modes and running it would not be a problem unless you are an extreme overclocker and wants every bit of stability for your rig.....

correct me if im wrong... C1E lowers the vcore when not needed and IEST lowers the multiplier when not needed...

searching for nice stable voltage to processor... the voltage default @1.2500v, there's no problem hitting @stock...

fixing 333MHz x 10, disabling C1E and EIST and PAE or whatsoever, the voltage control started at...

doh.gif, i don't think you guys get my objective right? i'm searching for ideal vcore because in my theory, the current vcore applied seems too high for that speed (3.33GHz)... using SuperPI 1M because, it's faster and if indeed not stable, it won't pass, my style of overclocking is... get to the highest, run SuperPI 1M (if pass), run Orthos... >5 hours, then considered stable most of the time... that's all... smile.gif

about the temp... no worries, i leave it alone... if too hot... sure it'll auto reboot...
