UPS I bought is BVX1200LI-MS at CureComp Tech
RB5009 + Deco M4 = up time on UPS ~7 hours
RB5009 + Deco M4 + Ryzen 5 5600 Server ( Load average 1.06,1.15,1.21 ) = ~2.2 hours

And I have the same reason as you, the advantage of the SFP is 1 device less that uses a power adapter.

I have the following devices secured by UPS;

- RB5009 with SFP
- TP-LINK TL-SG108E
- NAS DS920+
- NAS DS214+
- 2x RPi0w
- RPi4
- LattePanda v1

However, I auto-shutdown all after 5 min. of power outage (using nut-client & nut-server / Network UPS Tools).

Mikrotik announced a new RB5009 version with PoE ON ALL PORTS.
That would free up at some more power adapters as I could have the 3 RPi and 1 Lattepanda powered with PoE.

Your setup is exactly like mine, and RB5009 cannot support 2.5/5Gb, only 1/10Gb which is very sad...
even hardware is allow it when flash with OpenWRT.

so, he get speed over 1Gbps limit...

Do anyone here know how to access to ALCL I-240G-T ONU? tried to set ip my ip to
IP: 192.168.1.2
subnet: 255.255.255.0
gateway: 192.168.1.251

it seems its incorrect IP for this ONU, adapter showing "Unidentified Network".

Could anyone advice how to access/trace the gateway ip of this ONU?

As I'm working from home and need internet everyday for my work, so not preferring damage my ONU to get a new replacement.

I not sure about that router, do have SFP port?

I tested and successfully extract the SLID from I-240G-T.

Steps as below.

1. Unplug fiber
2. Connect OLT Lan 1 to your laptop/desktop Lan port
3. Press and hold reset button on I-240G-L for 20-30 seconds
4. While waiting for the OLT to done reset enter below information into your Network Adapter
    IP: 192.168.1.10 ( can be any except 192.168.1.251)
    subnet: 255.255.255.0
    gateway: 192.168.1.251
5. wait for 1 or 2 minutes, then open CMD type telnet 192.168.1.251
6. Enter username : CRAFTSPERSON, password: ALC#FGU
7. enter 1 to retrieve SLID.
8. Profit

Is it true turning off modem (ONT) at night bad because it might trigger automatic line condition retraining / error correction that makes internet very slightly bit slower?

I though this apply only to ADSL modems.

this will not compatible with Unifi, maybe TIME 2Gbps.
Because Unifi still use GPON, meanwhile TIME already in XGPON (10/2.5)

the POTS (Analogue Telephone) might not work on both ISP, unless VSOL allow some identity spoofing like "User-Agent" on Maxis, this is known security to prevent misuse of VoIP.

VoIP Credentials most important: Username, Password & Tel number.
Maxis have Syntax for its Password without asking CS and Technicians
Unifi are not, you need pressure the Technician to obtain VoIP Password. CS won't entertain even you force them, this what I heard most of Unifi user contacted me after I publish the VoIP threads.

In another note:
some Unifi user got their GPON banned after three bad attempts of wrong OMCI Information. I think 3 or more bad attempt of ONU Authentication

in my home seem not effected, it might grow in some area, calling CS for Port Reset is very troublesome...

I think a lot of user attempt to replace stock ONU with wrong OMCI...

if this went bad, TM might implement very strict OMCI where ODI wont understand and reply with wrong answer...

without OLT access to see what OMCI and expected answer ia hard - impossible to crack, unless stole the OLT 🤣

not just TM, same with TIME. since GPON ONU SFP is rooted, you basically can do anything, including "force TX laser on" and this will cause other user lose their internet connection.

and you can sniff down stream packet, even with AES encryption, I guess this can be crack, most GPON use basic 128-bit just fast enough to decrypt.

also hijacking GEM Port to by pass OLT speed cap, if OLT is configured badly.

fiber is shared connection...

so, TM just don't want another RTL960x GPON ONU on their fiber, this clash with D-Link that use RTL9607DQ (part of RTL960x family)

as we know, ODI Stick unable to saturate upload speed, because OLT use different parameters that RTL9607DQ understand, not RTL9601D/CI

buying ODI Stick now can be risky if you don't set ONU Information properly, TM or other ISP has right to ban,

bad setting ONU information mean not hiding enough,
check what OLT, if OLT is Nokia, avoid using Nokia ONU info, etc...

I am looking another solution, most GPON ONU SFP that I sell lately is not Realtek based, it's Intel based SFP which is hard to get since it's part of 4G/5G Cell Tower

During Unifi Ultra upgrade,

1. ask technician PLOAM Password
2. get D-Link ONR Serial Number

if can, ask them PPPoE and VoIP Credentials.

I just need PLOAM Password and Serial Number, burn everything into GPON memory and refrain from Factory Reset, later TM-UNIFI OMCI bits gone from MIB table.

PDF manual will be provided, or you can ask me to AnyDesk and I do the changes

I noticed that D-Link ONR updated to V1.1.0, so I had to update my GPON Stick as well,

In mean time, why not add more ONU and switch what ever possible 🤣

Saw this a bit ago on Taobao, from the looks of it, it's a customized Huawei ONU with a custom soldered on 10G port, if my guess is correct, the stick should be able to be used on this since there's a SFP+ port but ONU within ONU is 

Checked with the seller and apparently any stick will work within this, GPON/EPON/XPON/XGSPON etc..

Considering pulling the plug to get full 10G to counter the overhead ,yes I know 2.5G already sufficient for Malaysia. But definitely not cheap (About 2.1K MYR for the highest end customized version with 512MB of internal)

I agree, even TIME 10G PON not all place available,

Malaysia have slow adoption rate, I think... from upgrade from GPON to 10G, why not 50G PON which is more economy since more customer can fit (avg: ~100Mbps per customer)

with Unifi price reduction, I think it's far away for TM upgrade to 10G PON
