Since last release was 2023-10-20, so we fork it and make our own patches, ofc I add Unifi ME

the 'omcid' handle the OLT ONT communication, a lot of stuff there when open in Ghidra, there are dormant proprietary ME, we tried enable it cause 'omcid' crash when contact HWTC OLT haha

there are two MIB for PPTP and VEIP, so far PPTP connect to OLT quite fast, meanwhile VEIP take time for ALCL OLT to accept

this NijikaWRT come with a lot of T-CONT Upstream, hope fix issue with stupid OLT like FHTT

The HG8240H and HG8240H5 variant is Huawei own SoC, called HiSilicon Network Processor

because HG8240H feel stable because it just do bridge, like a Model, one purpose, and router are the gateway that make old system more stable

this has been asked long time ago, Huawei didn't make SoC that small that fit in SFP cage
only we know Hauwei that has 2.5G ONU is for XGSPON

only GPON with 2.5G is a hack that outside ITU G.988 standard

I went to Cyberjaya, recently Tamarind Square got Unifi, previously was TIME

My honest about Tamarind Square, I got lost just to find Block E and floor level..., that place like a Maze

so, I give my NijikaWRT with 16 T-CONT a run:
user posted image

So, upload speed got improved with 16 T-CONT upload,
but download not solve even with stock, so, it's confirmed Unifi forgot to set correct DBA
user posted image

In meantime, I try make Skyworth as RG Router, hopefully can use as ATA,
nope, Skyworth is Worthless, once in RG Router, VoIP module disabled vmad.gif

D-Link are much better!!! RG Mode can support as ATA Gateway

tldr;
1. Client want use Mikrotik and PON Stick as proof stability in long term
2. Client informed about incorrect DBA, cause Download stuck, need NOC to correct his DBA profile
3. Landline/VoIP will run on their Desktop PC, which is nice, when office hour end, VoIP offline icon_idea.gif
4. Upload speed improved with a lot of T-CONT

Yeah, he just moved new office there, even rack is used from bankrupt companies, the Unifi just installed 3 days ago.

his main office will be fully wireless, I suggest a BE85, no need to bother mounting the AP

and few critical PC will be 10G and 2.5G wired once he got new NAS

for upcoming V2.0 stick, I make some changes on NijikaRTL Firmware

1. ONT OLT Alarm Status
To help ISP troubleshooting, like TM has many vendor, see how Alarm goes
user posted image

2. Mikrotik BTest
Run Mikrotik Bandwidth, must invoke by user, due to MIPS SoC not fast, speed kind limited to ~400Mbps per process, best solution is PON Stick (spawn multi process by append &) connect to Mikrotik

like tng55 said,

GPON is shared network, invalid stuff can cause other internet get disconnected

that public nuisance, a crime can be charged

When buying products like this

You either do your own reverse engineering or pay someone for their time and effort to reverse engineer, countless hours to test in order to get it to work perfectly

BTW Huawei GPON stick for China domestic market almost 100% guarantee won't work here due to region restriction.

hi, sorry to interrupt, can i know what is the purpose of you guys doing this? i meant all the hacking... to get ploam password or voip password? All the passwords can easily get from during TM installation. i meant all those useful info like LOID, Poam/SN, voip user and password etc.

I got both old BTU extra siting in store room, almost want to throw already. sweat.gif

If the purpose is to get some settings to push to 2Gbps, then normal combo also can get easily max speed as long as NIC card, switch, PC is correct.

The SFP is available long before the combo with 2.5G port available. Also this is done by other ISP in US even, they provide ONU with SFP/normal ONU like us and people went to tinker around and got it working directly, removing an overhead in the network.

If we stick around to what we have (in network scope), we would be stuck in dialup since we already have it, why bother upgrading? (Yes I use term upgrading for using SFP ONU, change my mind)
