Yes, that's what happened to me. I surrendered my phone at Compasia Sunway. I didn't realise that they have not given me any written receipt until I back home. Then I started to worry if I should go to the shop again to ask for some form of receipt/confirmation, but in the end I received my money after 4 working days.... so no worry :-)

But honestly, this kind of practice is not good as imagine if the staff is not honest and just pocket the phone, customer like us will have hard time to proof

Last time they use to ask the customer to take screen shot of the receipt from their laptop.

Same experience to me last week when submitted my phone to them. Their process really has problem. They collected the phone but could not provide proof receipt immediately. I saw that person keep whatsapp their center people to email me, but no response from center. So I end up take his photo and asked him forward me his whatsapp message that center confirmed the final price to me. I received email after he left 30mins time.

But before that, i did contact compasia the person who came to collect phone is arranged by compasia, they replied me yes then only I dare to give him.

He talk nia and try to create bad feeling on you. ... you got tried to post in mudah / carousel? I tried 2 to 3 weeks before trade in .... I can tell you compasia trade in price + rm500 tradebonus is higher than buyers from mudah offer me. outside buyer throwing very low price also especially this fold phone as they know high maintenance fon. Especially when out of warranty, no one dare to take.

No like S series ... much more easy to find buyer.

Have you managed to get any invoice and on the warranty. Didn't get any invoice and updates on 3 years care+ after receiving last Friday.

chat with their customer service the other day and they said it should be reflected within 30days after purchase. no invoice, but the samsung order receipt hv all the details including the samsung care+.

Haha if added up with RN500, then final price is around RM 3,485.. Ok lah save me some hassles going around to hunt for buyer, now just hoping the money come in ASAP.. Otherwise die man, I traded in my S23+ as well


Ya exactly, they could've given a receipt or proof of collection, I took a short video clip of that staff when he was inspecting my phone, if anything goes wrong then his video gonna gone viral hahaha


Ahh.. For my case, I received the acknowledgement email after 30 mins, maybe because I kept urging that staff to send email, otherwise I will spam him some calls lol

It look like Fold serious depreciated RM 1k a year. My fold 5 traded at RM 1920.

fold 5 launched 2 years ago with a RRP of 6999.
How is the depreciation 1k per year? lol.

Oh.. Sorry. I should refer here trade value gap about RM 1k between F5 and F6.

I think if to really calculate depreciation will depend on how soon trade in your phone..

Fold 4 - RM 1155 + RM 500
Fold 5 - RM 1920 + RM 500
Fold 6 - RM 2985 + RM 500

My F5 bought at RM 5.5k ( after discounts but not consider free gifts ) in 2023 and after 2 years trade in with total RM 2420 whereby depreciated RM 3k in 2 years.

Yeah that's why from S23U to Fold 5 I just prefer to trade-in instead of some hassle selling outside

Fold 6 - 2,755 + 500

Maybe I wrongly tick during Fold 6 to get that value thought max eddy but no sweat since had other discount in >2,985

Yeah, very true. And really need to keep the Fold in pristine condition in order to sell off. Guess too many of it in the used-phone market, especially from people that used for a while, and then go back to candy bar phones. haha

That depreciation rate actually not too bad.

Take for example as a comparison, Exhibit A: the iPhone 16 Pro Max 256GB. Launched about nearly 1 year ago at RRP of RM5,999. But now in the used phone market, its value is around RM4,000 only. If a seller actually wants to successfully sell it, probably need to drop the price to RM3,600-3,800 in order to sell it.

Does the MY set Fold 7 have a single or dual SIM slot? Can cucuk 1 SIM card only or 2 SIM cards?

Just curious. Ar you using the Samsung Anti-Reflective Screen Protector for the Outer Screen?
Might be interested if it can fit the front cover case and not interfere with the screen protector.
