No idea why you have problem getting sleep after workout, body tired easy to fall asleep right?

If it is too late at night, such as 10PM. Then stay away from HIIT or cardio and focus on strength workout. Weights or pushup.

to begin with, What exercises do you do? Running? Cycling? Weights? Swimming? Yoga?

Overintense workouts are known to cause insomnia due to the the stress it places on the body, elevating cortisol and adrenaline levels in addition to elevated heart rate.

i workout at 10pm at sleep at 12 mid night. i do heavy weights for 60 minutes. also have trouble falling asleep

but, not sure is it due to the exercise or due to the whey protein that i consume immediately after excercise which has 1-2 grams of sugar

Exercise suppose to make you sleep well.
If it doesn't maybe your workout too intense and body still generating heat / sweating. Have a good long shower first.

Go for stretching exercise, such like yoga. It helps you to relax and sleep better in fact

Does swimming helps to make us sleep easily at night? I haven't tried this approach to lose weight and sleep well at the same time.

If you are not fit, exercise will tire the body.
If you have been doing it regularly, then your body will adapt into a habit of increasing your metabolism. Then how are you going to sleep?

Hence exercise light stretching, loosen the muscles, helps you to relax, prepare to sleep.

Try to have your last meal of the day within 12 hours of breakfast.
When you have meals, heavy on breakfast, lunch and light on dinner.
Keep away from monitor, screen, bright light, blue light spectrum 2 hours before bed.
Try reading a book 30 minutes before bed.

When you can go to bed early, can you rise next day 30 minutes earlier, so that you can exercise in the morning?

how about sleeping early and waking up early to exercise instead? i find it tough because it's colder in the mornings so harder for me to wake myself up, so it doesn't work for me. but it could work for you

Most people report good sleep after workout. BUT you should workout at least before 2 hours going to bed and this night workout should NOT be power weight lifting.

Body weight training and cardio should be OK.

You're welcome.

Good topic. thumbsup.gif
I would also like to know.
When I play badminton from 9pm - 11pm or 8pm - 10pm, for sure I can't sleep later.
Same when I go cycling with my friends at Putrajaya / Cyberjaya at night. Once reach home and shower, cannot sleep. rclxub.gif
