1.stock vcore usually around 2.9ghz to 3ghz, maybe more depend on revision.
2. Yes, that's the stepping code.
try fsb:dram ratio 1:1? maybe can clock higher

QUOTE(bryanyeo87 @ Oct 7 2007, 07:23 PM) Pentium dual core (exact spelling on the box!) and not pentium D and pentium 4, is esseitially the same as a core 2 duo e4xxx but with a 1mb cache instead of a 2mb cache. hmm my mobo supports till 1333 fsb.. so i gues wont be a problem changing proc..and no you cant change it to a e6600 because e6600 has 4mb cache instead of 1mb, but you can overclock it to a e6600 speeds (and beyond). yes it will affect your mobo, your mobo will have higer fsb and thus more performance. thats assuming your mobo supports and has options for ocing. why do you think you have been conned? e2160 is about rm 300 and below at the moment the shop sold me e2160 @ rm400+..this was 3 weeks ago ..now u tell me |

QUOTE(Punish @ Oct 8 2007, 09:12 PM) sadly prime95 not stable with 3.0ghz.. what mobo are you using and what cooling setup? I remembered doing 3.3Mhz at 1.425v on a 650i and E2160 stock heatsink but had to supplement the cooling with one loud freaking Pabstive change it to 322 x 9 2.9ghz stable but sumehow when i prime95 the first thread and the second thread not working in the sametime......is like this, thread 2 start loop 6 but thread 1 still at loop 3....but the prime95 is still running...can i call this fenomenon unstable...should i lower the cpu clock..?? I must have the wierdest E2160 ever produced...
Spec: E2160 GeminII P35-DS3R F6 D9GKX 7900GT Strider560watt whatever result i post here is orthos 8hrs stable.. with some problem though everything stock until 2.5gig (278x9), can boot 2.6gig at 1.35v, and 1.375 orthos 8hr stable.. then straight away 3.0gig (334x9) bootable at 1.400v but need 1.500v to orthos stable 12hrs.. HOWEVER.. here's the kicker.. anything above 2.5gig i CANT POST into bios after restart for second time.. the bios will force to default by itself before i have to load my oc setting to boot at certain speed again!!! or i have to use easytune5 to oc it so i have to stay happy at 2.5gig.. CRAP.. anything above 2.5gig is orthos STABLE for at least 8hrs BUT CANNOT BOOT AFTER RESTART!! This post has been edited by baok: Oct 8 2007, 09:55 PM |

QUOTE(baok @ Oct 8 2007, 09:54 PM) I must have the wierdest E2160 ever produced... Sounds like BIOs issue since I encountered it on my kid bro's Abit 650i. After a beta BIOS update and manual setting, it was stable (Can you imagine unbootable even at 1066Mhz FSB for E2160?)Spec: E2160 GeminII P35-DS3R F6 D9GKX 7900GT Strider560watt whatever result i post here is orthos 8hrs stable.. with some problem though everything stock until 2.5gig (278x9), can boot 2.6gig at 1.35v, and 1.375 orthos 8hr stable.. then straight away 3.0gig (334x9) bootable at 1.400v but need 1.500v to orthos stable 12hrs.. QUOTE(baok @ Oct 8 2007, 09:54 PM) I must have the wierdest E2160 ever produced... erm, had the same prob with my E2160 too. it was OCCT stable at 409*8 (3.27ghz) and also prime stable for 24 hours.but once shutdown or restart it will auto set to default as if the OC was unstable. i increased the PCI freq to 103 and solved the problem Spec: E2160 GeminII P35-DS3R F6 D9GKX 7900GT Strider560watt whatever result i post here is orthos 8hrs stable.. with some problem though everything stock until 2.5gig (278x9), can boot 2.6gig at 1.35v, and 1.375 orthos 8hr stable.. then straight away 3.0gig (334x9) bootable at 1.400v but need 1.500v to orthos stable 12hrs..
