Flashed the FP-IP9's BIOS to BETA 14 and guess what? It blinkin works, altho funnily, only at FSB's of 333Mhz and beyond with setting Unlinked. Otherwise tak boleh boot. Currently at stock volts 3.0Ghz priming away. Stock aluminium heatsink in use till can find good one second hand (Temps 73C according to sensor, which I don't trust). Max with the assistance of a Japan Servo 120mm blowing at the mobo was at 3.28Ghz 1.45v VCORE (Max temp 81C...ZOMFGBBQOHSHEET). Can do more I think. Guess either mobo limitation or RAM limitation

speedfan read the correct voltage
other program take the tjunction of intel as 100C, which is 85C in truth
*
yeah I think so but speedfan seems a bit cacat in detecting voltages. So think I'll try gauging using Core Temp instead.

lol all ppl take 2160 as core 2 duo >.<
it is pentium actually

pity, pentium has been 4gotten since core 2 smile.gif

technically, it's just branding to be honest. E2160 still utilises Conroe cores so it has every right to be called a C2D. Pentium is an old name which Intel would wanna leave behind ever since they realised their extended pipelining disaster of Pentium 4

3.2-3.3 somthing, 1.5V, on watercooling

I managed 3.3 at 1.425v but since using stock air cooling, decided not to normally run it at such speeds. Dropped it down to 3.0Ghz stock voltage

Pentium is Pentium, Core is Core. That is a Pentium Dual Core

Not anymore...sigh some just don't bother keep an update as to how Intel market it's porcessors

Architecturally it's still a Core processor but cut back. Think modern day celeron

Isn't M0 going to be PWM11.1 compliant (Meaning, alamak, P35 minimum requirement)

i didn't change vcore setting also can reach 3.33ghz. smile.gif

Depends la. My kid bro's unit needed 1.425v on 650i to whack 3.33Ghz. It's all in the batch revisions

what mobo are you using and what cooling setup? I remembered doing 3.3Mhz at 1.425v on a 650i and E2160 stock heatsink but had to supplement the cooling with one loud freaking Pabst

I must have the wierdest E2160 ever produced...

Spec:
E2160
GeminII
P35-DS3R F6
D9GKX
7900GT
Strider560watt
whatever result i post here is orthos 8hrs stable.. with some problem though sweat.gif

everything stock until 2.5gig (278x9), can boot 2.6gig at 1.35v, and 1.375 orthos 8hr stable..
then straight away 3.0gig (334x9) bootable at 1.400v but need 1.500v to orthos stable 12hrs..

HOWEVER.. here's the kicker..

anything above 2.5gig i CANT POST into bios after restart for second time.. the bios will force to default by itself before i have to load my oc setting to boot at certain speed again!!! or i have to use easytune5 to oc it sad.gif

so i have to stay happy at 2.5gig.. CRAP.. sad.gif

anything above 2.5gig is orthos STABLE for at least 8hrs BUT CANNOT BOOT AFTER RESTART!! doh.gif doh.gif sad.gif CRAP...

Sounds like BIOs issue since I encountered it on my kid bro's Abit 650i. After a beta BIOS update and manual setting, it was stable (Can you imagine unbootable even at 1066Mhz FSB for E2160?)
