But 1MB sure bottlenecks in many cache intensive application especially games. E6420 perform similar to E2series @ 3GHz

Probably for ur case, it's not the Mobo's limitation, but the E4XXX has FSB walls.

From xbitlabs review E2140 overclocks lower than E2160. Dunno bout ppl here experience though.

but i scare the cheapo northbridge on S3 too small to sustain the temperature, maybe attaching a pentium 2 fan will help biggrin.gif

original fsb is at 200mhz oc 2 225mhz..wah which means oni 225mhz clock speed increase ka?? cry.gif cry.gif wah wanna cry edi la if so low lidat cos i runnin on same specs...

but then is it really d mobo.cos according 2 xbit labs they managed 2 oc an e6600 fr 266mhz 2 375mhz.dats quite a lot.so it's quite strange dat d e2160 cant do d same.pls correct me kalo salah notworthy.gif

Anyway all core processor can at least oc up to 1GHz increase if the mobo and ram is right.
