i dont know why majority of the Gay still hunting for the best sex experience eventhough they have partner. Why cant they faithful like many of the heteroes.

You want people to respect and you are equally faithful as the hetero group. I didnt say ALL hetero are faithful...maybe 50% 50% but yet in Gay community, its like 90% unfaithful. how can a gay relationship last longer than the hetero ......quite many when ask, its like just one year or going second year..... out of 10 couples, maybe one last more than 5 years...the rest...... months or one or two years....

I just hope the LGBT community to control your sexsual desire and proof you are equally good as the hetero and love conquer everything.....

Hi, appreciate your thoughts on this.

First thing, we don't have to prove anything. If there is no marriage certificate and children, what do you think the faithfulness of the husbands and wife would be?

Also, if we treated equally in the eyes of the law, if we can get married and have children perhaps, gay relationships would last longer. And there wouldn't be fake or forced marriages.

Again all these is debatable.

What I want to say is, it's not comparable. We don't have to follow what heterosexuals do. There's nothing to prove. To each his own as long as no one is hurt in the process.

23 years since her death, this is how Princess Diana transformed global attitudes to HIV and AIDS

user posted image

23 years ago, Diana, Princess of Wales, was killed.

A photograph of a dented car shuddered throughout the news wires on August 31, 1997, leaving billions reeling and in a death that drew out a complicated mix of anger and grief.

In the sense of loss that followed, a single moment of Diana would come to be left for the AIDS patients at London Middlesex Hospital.

For many of them, fear and dread had come to be expected from loved ones visiting them, if they came at all, or even the healthcare workers supporting them.

Indeed, a lack of understanding, as well as misinformation around a wily and devastating virus, had led to the deaths of countless LGBT+ people. Many feared that HIV could be passed from person to person by touch.

But seeing the outstretched, bare hand of a smiling Diana in 1987 was a moment that gave them, and many of the thousands living with HIV, hope.

‘I don’t doubt that had she lived she would have been a powerful ally in combatting HIV stigma.’

None of the 12 patients at Britain’s first purpose-built HIV/AIDS unit wanted to see her. They feared what becoming the subject of a press vastly hostile to people living with HIV would make of them.

Eventually one man, who was not far from death, agreed to meet Diana.

In front of the world’s media, Diana shook the hand of a man diagnosed with the illness.

user posted image

A simple, bold act that came to capture how Diana would be remembered even now, 23 years after her death, as the wild card of a monarchy that rejected her, and someone as dynamic as they were glamorous.

Diana declared
to the press pen jockeying around her: “HIV does not make people dangerous to know.

“So you can shake their hand and give them a hug, heaven knows they need it.”

She was remembered by many top HIV groups and LGBT+ leaders as a pioneer who broke ranks to be there for one of the most vulnerable and marginalised groups of society.

I feel disgusted with your thoughts ..

People don't need to proof just to be who they are .. it is individual to uphold such belief. Example, it could be ok for an individual of certain action but not from the others perspective. Besides, all human judge anyway REGARDLESS who they are ..

Just because people around you sleep like a slut regardless their sexuality does not mean you need to generalising others .. either you are one of them or could be in wrong company/crowd/companionship .. Do not forget that we are somehow attract to the same kind of people. Have you hear that "birds of a feather flock together"

Love keeps on winning in Northern Ireland with same-sex couples finally able to marry in churches
Source: https://www.pinknews.co.uk/2020/09/01/same-...-religion-love/

Same-sex couples can apply to have religious weddings in Northern Ireland from today (1 September), with ceremonies set to begin later this month.

Gay weddings began in Northern Ireland in February, but so far couples have only been allowed to undergo civil weddings – with a further wait for regulations to be amended to allow religious weddings and for the conversion of existing civil partnerships into marriages.

From 1 September, however, couples in Northern Ireland can also register for a religious wedding ceremony, bringing the region in line with Scotland, England and Wales.

Religious bodies can also choose to opt in to provide same-sex weddings from Tuesday. With a statutory 28-day waiting period, the earliest date for a same-sex religious wedding will be 29 September.

The reverend Chris Hudson, minister of All Souls Church in Belfast – a member of the Non-Subscribing Church of Ireland – welcomed the law change.

He said: “This is great news for couples who wish to celebrate their marriage in church, embraced by family, friends and the love of God.

“I have already been speaking to a number of couples who have been waiting for this day so they can finally have the church wedding that they have longed for.”

Patrick Corrigan of Love Equality said: “Today is a milestone for equality in Northern Ireland. After years of campaigning, same-sex couples of faith can finally register to marry in a church or other religious setting.

“In line with our campaign, we are pleased that the law will protect religious freedom, and that churches will neither be compelled nor prevented from offering wedding ceremonies to same-sex couples.

“This is an important issue for many couples in Northern Ireland, who have previously been prevented by law from marrying in their own church.”

Corrigan added: “We now urge the government to finish the job of marriage equality in Northern Ireland, by allowing couples in civil partnerships to convert to married status if they so wish.”

Couples in the rest of the UK are already permitted to convert civil partnerships into marriages, but the Northern Ireland Office has been slow to bring in the measure – meaning the 1,200 couples who had already entered civil partnerships before the introduction of same-sex marriage are currently unable to marry.

Indonesia Police Detain Dozens in Raid on Jakarta Gay Party
Source: https://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2020/09/02...a-gay-raid.html

JAKARTA, Indonesia — Indonesian police detained dozens of men in a raid on a gay party at a hotel in Jakarta, an official said Wednesday.

Jakarta police spokesperson Yusri Yunus said nine people suspected of organizing Saturday's party were arrested and 47 others who participated were released.

The nine are being charged under a pornography law which carries a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison and a fine, he said.

Yunus said the participants were all from the same community in Jakarta. Police are still investigating to determine if any other people were involved, he said.

Homosexuality is not illegal in Indonesia, the world's most populous Muslim nation, except in conservative Aceh province. However, the country’s gay and lesbian community has recently come under siege.

Police have set up a special task force to investigate alleged homosexual activity. In February, members of the House of Representatives proposed a bill that would define homosexuality as deviant and require lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people to report to authorities for rehabilitation.

The United Nations Human Rights Council has called on Indonesian authorities to release people detained on the basis of their sexual orientation and combat anti-gay stigma in the country.

Under Indonesia's so-called "pornography law", all actions deemed "indecent" including public acts such as spouses kissing, women showing their navels or shoulders, and people sunbathing in bikinis or swimwear are all punishable by law.

The fact that this law is used disproportionately against LGBT community is a complete BS. shakehead.gif

Pakistan blocks Tinder and Grindr for 'immoral content'
Source: https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-53977780

user posted image

Tinder, Grindr and three other dating apps have been banned in Pakistan for disseminating "immoral content".

The government issued notices to Tinder, Grindr, Tagged, Skout and SayHi to remove the dating services.

Extra-marital relationships and homosexuality are illegal in Pakistan, the second largest Muslim-majority country in the world.

The country's internet regulator said the companies had not responded to it within the stipulated time.

A Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) spokesman told BBC Urdu that as a consequence, the decision had been made to bring the management of these platforms into a "moral and legal realm".

The watchdog has said, however, that it might reconsider the action if the apps agree to moderate what it views to be unethical and obscene material on their platforms.

A Tinder spokeswoman said it invests significant resources into monitoring and removing inappropriate content.

"We welcome the opportunity to discuss our product and moderation efforts with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority and look forward to a meaningful conversation," she added.

Grindr, Tagged and Skout did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Reuters news agency and the BBC were unable to contact SayHi for comment.

Data from analytics firm Sensor Tower indicates Tinder has been downloaded more than 440,000 times in Pakistan within the last 12 months. Grindr, Tagged and SayHi had each been downloaded about 300,000 times and Skout 100,000 times in that same period, Reuters reported.

Internet blocks

Critics say Pakistan has sought to rein in free expression on the internet, blocking or ordering the removal of content deemed immoral as well as news critical of the government and military.

"These latest blocks reveal that the government is ramping up its efforts to control the flow of ideas on the internet," Ray Walsh, digital privacy expert at ProPrivacy, said.

"Pakistani citizens will be used to oppressive levels of censorship to prevent citizens from accessing LGBTQ content, nudity, and anything else considered immoral, and due to the fact that extramarital affairs are also illegal, dating sites are now being targeted as the government feels these could be fuelled by online dating apps".

In July, Pakistan issued a "final warning" to TikTok over explicit content posted on the platform.

It has also banned access to Facebook, Twitter and YouTube in recent years.

Last week, the PTA also asked video-sharing platform YouTube to "immediately block vulgar, indecent, immoral, nude and hate speech content for viewing in Pakistan".

Gay Brazilian man beaten by neighbours and then arrested by police
Source: https://cd-gaytimes.j.layershift.co.uk/life...sted-by-police/

user posted image

Despite legal protections, Brazil can be one of the deadliest places in the world to be LGBTQ+.

Lorran Oliveria, a 21-year-old photographer, was arrested by police after he was beaten with a broomstick by neighbours who mocked him and his boyfriend.

In a Facebook post, he explained that he had recently moved house with his boyfriend to Itabuna in Bahia, a northeastern state in the country, and that his new neighbours continually mocked them with homophobic jibes.

On the day of the incident, (30 August), Lorran, his boyfriend and three friends were together, when a group of neighbours started mocking their “effeminate gestures.”

His boyfriend, Guilherme Ramos, had had enough and went to confront one of the neighbours, “questioning her if there was any clown there and if we were in a circus, and she was in a circus, and she was very arrogantly screaming.”

In an attempt to mediate the situation, Lorran intervened and put himself between the two, however he began arguing with the woman “and she uncontrollably assaulted me verbally and physically.”

He added: “At all times, I also suffered homophobia and the feeling was powerless, after all, if aggression was the other way around, I’m sure people’s attitudes would be totally the opposite.”

Speaking to G1 about the attack, he said: “She assaulted me. Other family members pushed me, several people in her family pushed me. There was physical as well as verbal aggression. Her brother-in-law always holding my hands.

“Everyone was outraged by this situation. It hit my chest, and it scratched my face. She even took a broomstick to attack me, but was prevented by a sister.”

After the attack, a friend called the police, and when they arrived, Lorran was still “shivering, crying and very afraid.” The police proceeded to handcuff Lorran, but not the woman who assaulted him.

Initially, police were going to put him in the back of a police van, but interventions from friends meant he was able to ride in the back of the police car with the woman who attacked him.

At the police station, he expected to give his testimony, but explained “that’s not what actually happened. They put me inside a room and I was handcuffed, that’s right… The victim was handcuffed! What about the perpetrator of the crimes? It stood in front of the reception with the same debauches my person.

“I gave my statement and was released with a guide to do the body scans of crime and asked me to wait for the process in justice.

“I know this won’t come to anything, but with the help of your shares, maybe I’ll get some lawyer who defends me and this horrible being pays for everything she did.”

He told G1 that he is now on medication, saying: “For homophobic crime we always go through, but physical aggression was the first time. I was never physically assaulted.

“My chest is bruised, my face has three huge scratches, my arm and rib. It’s hurting a lot. I’m taking medication. My face is badly hurt. It hurts a lot.”

He finished by saying: “All of this is very unfair, both with me and Guilherme. The people who have our rights.

“Be treated with normal people that we are. We want to survive, to be respectful. We just want it. That’s why I want to take the mess further. It can’t be like this. We are human beings.”

US Marine pardoned by Philippines for killing of transgender woman

user posted image

(CNN)A United States Marine convicted of killing a transgender woman in the Philippines in 2014 has been granted an "absolute pardon" by President Rodrigo Duterte in a case that sparked outrage over alleged preferential treatment given to American military personnel on assignment in the country.

Lance Cpl. Joseph Scott Pemberton has served about six years of the 10-year sentence he was given in 2015 for killing Jennifer Laude, a 26-year-old transgender woman, in a motel room in 2014.

Duterte's action was announced by Philippine Foreign Affairs Secretary Teddy Locsin Jr. on Monday and confirmed by Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque in a report by the state-run Philippine News Agency (PNA).

It came after a court last week said Pemberton should be given credit for good conduct during his time served in the Camp Aguinaldo military prison in Quezon City, rather than New Bilibid Prison, the country's main penitentiary, according to a CNN Philippines report.

That credit amounted to more than four years, the court said, and with time served after his arrest but before trial, Pemberton had served the 10 years required. Critics said it was easy for Pemberton to be on good behavior because he was able to serve his sentence alone rather than with the general prison population.

"Cutting matters short over what constitutes time served, and since where he was detained was not in the prisoner's control -- and to do justice -- the President has granted an absolute pardon to Pemberton," Locsin said in a Twitter post.

Pemberton's lawyer, Rowena Flores, said Duterte's decision was not something her client sought and that she first learned of it from the media.

"I thank our President for his pardon. I think with this development, justice is served and that the laws were followed," she told CNN Philippines.

Duterte, speaking in his weekly address on Monday, said no records were kept on Pemberton's behavior in the military prison so he should be assumed to have acted properly.
"You have not treated Pemberton fairly, " Duterte said, according to PNA. "We should allow him the good character presumption."

Pemberton was 19 at the time of his conviction. He was convicted of the lesser charge of homicide, rather than murder, after the court determined that Pemberton had not acted with "treachery."

The naked body of Laude was found with her head in a toilet in an Olongapo hotel room shortly after midnight on October 12, 2014, police said after his arrest.

Witnesses told police that Pemberton was with Laude at a local disco before the two checked into a hotel on the night of October 11, according to documents seen by CNN.

Pemberton told police that he'd choked Laude, but then tried to revive her. He said he had become angry with Laude upon discovering she had male genitalia, according to police.
