120hz refresh rate only when running HD res?

Does it really matter if its FHD or QHD?

The average person cannot spot the difference on a phone but if on a big tv, then it'll be noticeable.

By the current price trend , the Note20+ could be RM5499 or even RM5999

not really...when other competitor maintain or reduce the price, Samsung has pressure to increase the price...most likely maintain the price range...

A smartphone in whatever shapes or form or specs is already ridiculous ,once it passed the USD 1,200 or RM 4.5K mark.
I mean , speaking for myself only

to maintain the price range, either reduce the camera power to increase storage power or reduce somewhere else

i thought the price for samsung s20 goes down when they apply a different screen as its not that curvy anymore. but then again, the camera totally blow the budget.

so if note20 wanna strive? they have to keep pushing the price. otherwise, people will judge why suddenly cheaper and try to find 1001 excuse not to buy. if its expensive, people will just say oh its super expensive that's y. easy to justify.

Yeah even I can't differentiate it, tried both on my Mate 20 Pro and could not find the difference. So I stick to 1080P to save battery. 720P also seems very hard to spot the difference, it could be just me.

damn so far no good camera sample out yet s20 ultra

all i want to see is when capable people use the camera. the night mode. the 8k video. the full 108mp. the pixel-binned 12mp.

on twitter can see some samples but not good enough

i can see some samples from taiwan youtuber on demo about 100x.. what i would say, not really usable photos.. however 10x optical zoom looks a lot better.. of course it depend how frequent u need the zoom capabilities.. in term of daily usage, i would say SD855 devices or S10 series still manage to handle very well..

other than that, i dont see a big upgrade unless you have extra money to spend on.. it's kind of marketing hype to attract more sales.. you wont feel outdated if you didnt upgrade to this as you will use your camera to take friends photo, food photos, flower photos only. you wont use 10x optical zoom to take group photos... that's my view.. of course got extra features always better.

Emui  i tried accepting in but in the end really cannot haha.
I also plan order from Mobile2go and tell them don't want wireless charger see can change other gift or not.
Ya I guess each one of us has preference over which OS we would prefer. Im not saying I like EMUI but I definitely prefer it over Samsung Experience for all the reasons.

Feels like want to upgrade over my existing S8+. The new camera, 12GB RAM and 4500mAH battery is tempting. But the 1440p at 60hz is a let down...sigh. At least make it 90 hz ma.

What about other stuffs like wireless charging, ingress protection and dual speakers? Are those important to you? If not, I'd suggest the S10 Lite.
*
Dual speaker? Hmmm, nice to have but I don't play game or watch movie over the phone. If I watch YouTube, it's almost earphone 100% of the time because don't wanna kacau my baby.
Wireless charging no, s7 edge I bought wireless pad and throw it away, not practical because have to keep putting my phone down.
IP rating, nice to have, on rare basis will drop my phone into water

I practically use my phone 24/7 for WhatsApp/email/chrome. My s7edge battery only can tahan 2-3 hours max.

if screen is priority for you then go for s20 plus, else i think can consider s10 lite ffor the snapdragon chip. note 10 lite is good choice as well if you want the spen
*
My priority is battery, no lag. Use for office stuff. The last time I post photo to social media was like....5 years ago.

I think I do love spen due to work, but S10 Snapdragon seems good.

I just replaced my wife S7 Edge with Note 10 plus....12GB memory and 256 GB storage and not so bad camera can last very long...will replace a new one 2023 or 2024.
*
Haha, I think is a good choice huh.

SAMSUNG Galaxy phones are using One UI 2.0 now, no more Experience UI.

EMUI 10 keeps on killing the apps running background, thus it has better battery life than SAMSUNG Galaxy phones with Exynos processor ( but not Qualcomm Snapdragon processor ).
*
Sorry my bad. Its supposed to be One UI now. But I don't see much difference running OneUI on my Note 10+ now compared to Samsung Experience. Still heavily bloated as usual. Hopefully there would be changes on the S20. IMO the Mate 30 Pro has excellent battery life, matching the battery life of the OP7 Pro thus would be leaving the Note 10 + regardless of it is powered by SD or Exynos.

if priority is battery i think better off with snapdraon as got better standby time and also better signal which will result in better battery life.

In my opinion, Galaxy S10 Lite is very suitable for you if you want a SAMSUNG smartphone. It has a 4,500mAh battery. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor.
