QUOTE(majorarmstrong @ Aug 6 2020, 09:37 AM) i thought is a fix income fund? Fixed income fund is any financial instrument that can generate steady income stream; it could be as low risk as money market fund to higher risk of dividend focus equity fund.again i am not sure what is the different between Fix Income / Bond The only bond i have is P Bond - the old ppl UT -Â 50% of all my total investment is in this PBOND QUOTE Fixed income funds generally pay a return on a fixed schedule, though the amount of the payments can vary. Investors may consider this type of fund for their potential for income generation and capital preservation. This post has been edited by GrumpyNooby: Aug 6 2020, 09:40 AM |

QUOTE(majorarmstrong @ Aug 6 2020, 09:34 AM) IPF 1.0955 to 1.0976 (+21 points) For distribution reinvest, usually will be happening on the same day when the price went down due to distribution, that's where you get to put in your profits back to become units and market value of your portfolio shall remain same with or without distribution. BTW I saw from history income distribution coming by September hope they distribute more more more then we can buy lower price question - if income distribution on 31-July it take how many days to get it reinvested? recently on some of my UT i get income distribution but the time to have it reinvested vary from UT to UT Just that your average cost per units become lower due to reinvestment only. |

i start to spend more time looking at the NAV for both IPF and SIPF
and what caught my attention is that SIPF perform better during the month of July compare to IPF IPF July 1 = 1.0675 July 30 = 1.0912 (+2.17%) SIPF July 1 = 1.0230 July 30 = 1.0498 (+2.19%) maybe SIPF will start to pick up? This post has been edited by majorarmstrong: Aug 6 2020, 11:35 PM |

QUOTE(MUM @ Aug 6 2020, 11:37 PM) so far i am only in IPF and might want to look at SIPF so i will continue to dig abit more information about the fund another interesting difference i notice is that IPF is more diversify see the number of sector they are in compare to SIPF IPF has 10% in cash which i dont know why they want to do that as for SIPF they are heavy in the telecomunication sector which puzzle me a little and less diversify ![]() MUM liked this post
