Hi Guys,

Wanna ask about the coming Lekas 2022 event.
I'm registered for the 120km, but intend to ride 78kn instead on that night.

This is the first time for me, so some of you guys have experienced before can provide insight, if that is possible during the event.

I just wanna ride with my friends, complete the ride and get the medal.

I have ask the organizer but not getting any reply on this..Hope you guys can share the experience on this.

find a peloton/group of people to draft. if you're first time doing it , be careful tho.

its absurd how much power you save by drafting, compared to tackling the winds alone. you can easily maintain 30km/h in flat during draft , but will struggle if alone.

hey sifu here. wanna ask u guys punya opinion.

I have a CAAD 13 that I'm itching to upgrade.

Currently eyeing for canyon ultimate or factor O2 (frame)

problem with canyon is the availability sucks. Anyone ridden a factor bike before? How was it and would you recommend it? Looking for endurance bike , I did some triathlons as well but not looking for aero bikes since my weekend route is not flat at all.

any tips/brands to suggest?

if u r not podium rider, get something that u know u won regret by just looking at it everyday ...
unless $$ is an issue.
Ride feeling (or stiffness) is my second priority.

i am riding an aero bike for my everyday rides, i ride hills (but still slow AF)

Maybe state ur budget, so we can scale down what is available for your reach.

no issue with it, i have done the same too last time, registered for 120km but only ride 78km

u still get the medal for 120km as the colour of ur plate is different from the 78km

i ride solo most of the time, just ride maintain a steady pace and after i've made the U turn only i pick up my pace. i'm not chasing anything, just ride to enjoy myself but this year i'm not joining the ride

15k budget actually is good

Winspace, Seka, Polygon are great brands to consider.

more top end brands like Cervelo, specialized is possible but will be at the lower end

Factor o2 vam is lightweight hill climb bike but the geometry is not really endurance geometry if thats what u looking for. Generally if u want endurance geometry means the frame needs to have a taller head tube. Shorter head tube frames are more aggressive and it will look ugly if u pile alot of spacers under your stem to compensate. Some brands doesnt list the head tube length on their website, u need to check with the local dealer here. Also some frames are electronic shifting only, be aware of that. If you have plans to try gravel, look for frames with 32mm clearance at least. i think the latest canyon ultimate cfr can fit up to 35mm tires as thats what Vermeersch and Mvdp used to win/podium gravel world champs.

Try bukit tunku or else join the weekly DBKL car free day where the roads will be closed for cyclists and runners

Been riding an O2 for about half a year, and it's a good climbing bike. Overall it's alright and as said it's not that much of an endurance bike but managed to do 1 audax with it. Didn't really tested it that much for flats as don't ride flat as much but overall I think it's good.

What shop do you guys recommend for doing road bike servicing? Bought a Trek a few months ago but has yet to go for service. I am not a hard core rider, just half speed half recreational rider smile.gif hmm.gif

Why don't send back for servicing at the shop that you bought the Trek from?
Which Trek model BTW?
