Probably by including a wireless dongle? Similar to the PS4 Wireless Gold headset? It uses wireless connectivity, but it's not bluetooth. There's a USB dongle that you plug in to the console, and it will pair wirelessly with the headset.

It's using Bluetooth though. For whatever reason Microsoft doesn't allow USB Bluetooth adapters to be used on Xbox. Apparently someone also wanted to use headphones on Xbox wirelessly, using a Bluetooth dongle to pair it wirelessly.

https://www.reddit.com/r/xboxone/comments/8..._headphones_on/

I'm not sure if those wireless headphones with standalone wireless dongles will work on Xbox or not. I think they use RF or IR.

Ok i saw steelseries 9x they use xbox proprietary radio frequency then can only wireless. So yeah those usb dongle wireless headphones will not work.

Yeah that makes sense then. They must have licensed Microsoft's propietary wireless standard to make it happen.

Did you experience any frame drops? I encountered drops quite often in brutal legend on the series s. Not sure about other back-compat titles though

I was on the same boat as you previously, I gave up and got myself a Sony WH1000XM4 and Dolby Atmos for Headphones.

In truth, you don’t really need a ‘gaming’ headphone. Those proprietary Xbox Wireless will still face wireless interference from controller, wifi router etc - if you read up about it.

The only safe bet is to get a headset with dongle (2.4Ghz). This is why the Steelseries Arctis 7X is so sought after.. the dongle.

So u use 3.5mm wired connection the the controller? Heard the quality is much better than what dualshock controller headphone jack. 7x is cheaper but the microusb charging lol.. 7x is the dongle has toggle like arctis 1?

For wireless headset, my current setup is getting bluetooth audio from my TV

I'm using a pair of aptx-ll wireless headset paired to my samsung tv that supports aptx-ll as well, so far so good, but sometimes glitchy bt connectivity once in a while, but easily solved by disconnect and reconnect again

Previously I've tried the regular non aptx-ll BT headsets, and OMG the audio lag is super horrible, you gotta have aptx-ll supported devices to pull this off.

I was surprised I can get the spatial audio from Dolby Atmos on my headphone via this method as well

Only downside is no chat function at all, and the audio quality of course cannot be compared to those premium headset

Yup but depending on the controller, some has a low-frequency static sound, not really noticeable.

The dongle on the 7x is just a dongle geh, no buttons or toggle one. Cucuk behind the console and good to go, but connection far more stable than the XBOX Wireless Proprietary la.

Your only issue is getting a unit lol!

i see.. that is 1 way too lol. cos the spatial audio going to the TV, but it might not be optimized for headphone tho. yeah no chat is a problem when play multiplayer..

I did look around, they say the 7x got toggle macam arctis 1 oh. cos xbox wireless frequency is xbox specific, so need to toggle to xbox then if normal is toggle usb then can use for other devices.
https://support.steelseries.com/hc/en-us/ar...ies-X-Xbox-One-

if 9x is directly connect to xbox no need toggle. i saw arctis 1 is the best bet for now but the headband macam not comfy.. i use this sennheiser hd450 bt have problem with the insuffficient padding on top, same like this sony pulse wireless. now takut edi but headband must be big and enuf padding.

why not just buy the 9x direct from Amazon?

I gotten my Arctis pro wireless from amazon as well, for "free" tongue.gif
it was supposed to be brand new unit, but I received a refurbished unit, complaint to their CS based in India, got a full refund and they forgot to ask me to ship it back laugh.gif

I’m thinking of razer kaira / pro.
But would wait for more reviews first.

Their black shark v2 had good reviews and kaira seems to be using a similar driver.
