1. They need to name it better.
xbox-sx?
Can be confusing with the Xbox one X.

2. Speaking bout the Xbox one x. This is only twice as powerful as the Xbox one X. The jump to Xbox-sx is literally way lesser when compared to the XboxOne to XboxoneX.

Any news if the Xbox One media remote will work on the series X?

Couple of reviews are up.

So far looking pretty good.
I like how some reviewers commented on how silent the Xbox Series X is.

A bit tired of my PS4 pro jet engine.
Can’t wait to play this in November.

Lots of xbox series x reviews today with a focus on BC and how your current games will look and play better.  Seems overwhelmingly positive

I was hoping for the series x to hit 4k 60fps for current(Xone) gen games.
It did, though for the more demanding games there are still some drops. Way better than one x though, that’s for sure.

What games were you looking forward to see at 4k 60fps? I think a few of the reviewers mention sekiro only hitting 59 but that's still a big improvement from right now..
*
Personally for me, it’ll be kingdom hearts 3.
Looking forward to beat yozora again at 4k 60fps.
At least I’ll look good dying.

is Sega bigger than zenimax/bethesda?  hmm.gif  hmm.gif

Sega is way bigger than Bethesda.
I think even Sega's yearly revenue on Pachinko machines is way more than Zenimax.
Having said that, if Microsoft buys over Sega, it probably won't be the whole company?

27 inch 1440p monitor. Oh it's native 1440p? Asked the same question on Reddit yesterday but got removed dunno why. Before it was deleted it got 2 replies which the people relied saying it will be upscaled to 1440p from 1080p.  flex.gif
If you were me, would you get the X or S for 1440 gaming?
*
I’d recommend a Series X even for 1440p unless physical space is a big issue.
Main reason being
- the extra 500GB of ssd
- Ray tracing performance of series s probably can’t hit 1440p 30fps.
- back compatible games enhanced performance.

If you’re getting a series S, you will run out of space very quickly.
Which means you’ll either
1. Get the seagate expansion drive (which will raise the price close to the series X)
2. Get a large HDD and run games from there (At this point, might as well get an older one X).

saw watchdog raytracing performance for series s, the graphics looks dated and the raytracing is like lowest setting in PC raytracing. everything is blurry. i agreed with you, top up series x and u still using it for like 5yrs? the cost is spreaded over 5yrs so still ok la. just tat now series x cant get anywhere  sweat.gif  sweat.gif

OZ/NZ just launched xbox series. I saw there are good news that they are getting more stock than expected. hopefully same case at singapore side.
*
I bought within 45 mins of the launch from Qisahn.
They’re only delivering my series x on the 30th of November.
No news of expediting from them.

According to them, the launch model sold out in seconds. Pretty much impossible to get unless you use a bot.

But series S has something better than One X which is kinda trade off also:

1) Quick Resume
2) Faster loading time
3) Small form body

It all depends on which type of user XD
Other than the space issue, we can actually still plug in bigger size External HDD/SSD and run like Xbox One load speed i guess?

What it really miss is the UHD drive sad.gif
That's the huge take down if u wanna watch UHD Blu-ray
*
Quick resume and faster loading time will only apply if you’re using internal ssd or the proprietary seagate ssd. With only 300GB usable space, you’ll only be able to have 4-6 games loaded onto it. If this is enough for you, then Xbox series S will suit you well. If you’ve a fast internet, it helps mitigate this as well.

Of all the three main benefits you mentioned, I think I'll be good without them haha.
Never heard of future-proofing a console haha.

There's stock in Amazong SG. Ordered one last night where it says "Released on 10 Nov" instead of "Stock arriving in ... Dec...". Same as XSX but I couldn't decide whether to go for the S or X then gone in a minute.
*
Amazon SG no longer have available series X.
If you click on series X, it’ll say it’s no longer available.
So your series S is shipping today?

Second batch.
Estimated ship out date was initially 30th November.
So it’s a few days earlier.

they use qexpress to send direct to malaysia address?
*
Not sure.
My shipment is to a sg address.
But qexpress does ship to malaysia via DHL.
Local shipment is typically with their own supply chain.

My controller broke, so I got this instead.

Probably will use this instead of the Series X one when I get my hands on it. Damn it like lightyears ahead of the normal controller man.
*
How long is the warranty?
Heard quite a bit of unpleasant reviews where the elite controller starts becoming faulty after 6months to a year of use.

So apparently the Xbox series X and Series S still has the IR blaster.
No need to buy new media remote, older remotes still work.

receiver or blaster? mean it can control other devices?
*
It is meant to be controlled by a remote, so technically a receiver.
But articles still called it an ir blaster.

I had the issue with my Xbox One controller and my new Elite 2 controller.

I’m not sure if the issue persists with the new Series controller thou, you might wanna test it out at a certain angle once you have it.
*
My Xbox one controller is fine.
Will test my series controller later.

You should consider the razer wolverine 2 as it uses mechanical switches. Wired though ...

Ah bummer, can’t use a wired because I’m playing from a TV.

I heard good stuff from the Wolverine 2 as well.
Initially when I didn’t notice it as well, until I search on Reddit. Seems like a widespread issue.

It has something to do with the adhesive used internally that ‘might’ leak to where the A button is placed. Funny thou.
*
Just got my Xbox SX this evening.

Tested the series x controller.
No mushy A button.
Dpad is really nice on the series X though.

Kinda feels smaller than an Xbox one controller.
But overall, very similar.
