what he meant was the Xbox units sold are not recognize by MS, because they are grey import from Singapore. Hence the sales figure goes towards MS SG.

There is a high chances that XBL will never officially launch in Malaysia, due to the above or they see SG as a hub to supply SEA region.

Nintendo Switch shares the similar issue where MY eShop doesnt exist, most players set to US region and we dont hear people being afraid or complaining.

i choose Series X even though i only had 1080p TV, i have plans for 4k upgrade in future. even if i didnt, sure hope i can do 1080p 120fps with games i played

Its not that difficult, just get your self an xbox, create a US gamertag (fake US address, example: yahoo inc), then use paypal with your malaysia CC or DC. Once those are setup use your Xbox 1> Series S/X set the region to US, buy XBL/Gamepass/games should work. You can also buy gift cards to topup as long as they are US region (xbl/gamepass/gift card/games)

If you guys want to use Argentina store, then the CC/DC trick doesnt work afaik you have to buy argentina gift card for topup. (correct me if im wrong)

XBL Gold 12 months is $60 for normal pricing, $1 upgrade to gamepass ultimate was back then offer, now not sure if they will convert for 12 full months gamepass ultimate, but this trick only works for first time. Adding any additional XBL Gold 12 months on top of gamepass ultimate will be converted.

Convertion rate is not fixed, it depends on the base value of the code you want to convert to ultimate. The updated convertion rates for standard codes should be available on the gamepass faq section:

I'm also on SG gamertag since 360 days, just make sure you setup US address on your MS account then select that as primary address then it should work the same way. to claim free XBL game on Xbox.com (browser) for Xbox games you need to use US region, for 360 games you have to change to SG region.

What do you mean? you mean the conversion above? to save the trouble you can just buy 1 month Subscription for gamepass ultimate at $15 monthly, auto sub. thats it.

The reason i listed the conversion rate above its because sometimes you can find good deals on those, with conversion it might save you abit. Just make sure the region match.

XBL/gamepass ultimate "active" subscription can only be topup with the same region gift card.

It should be quite straight forward.

1) create gamertag (SG)
2) buy XBL gold SG (3,6,12 month)
3) buy min $10 gift card SG
4) redeem XBL Gold & $10 gift card on Xbox App or Xbox One
5) buy gamepass on Xbox App using your redeemed gift card $1

that should be it, but its been awhile i last did this, might want to wait others to verify if VPN is needed or any steps are missing.

I order Series X from my friend, hopefully can get it during launch. so far SG distributor still dont know how many units are allocated for MY seller.

look at it this way, if 12 months of XBL gold is = $60, 3 years is $180 + $1 for Gamepass ultimate upgrade, if you buy gamepass ultimate for 12 months that $180.

You dont really have to do 36 months if you are not sure, just 12 months would do too.

After 36 months you have to renew the normal way anyway.

It should work, Some of us here had gamepass before they announce gamepass ultimate. It is during the gamepass ultimate announcement where we got the $1 deal to convert.

Game shop most likely would not bring in much xbox games, some may just sell hardware due to the existence of game pass, even for current gen most xbox player had gone digital. Its abit of risk to sell physical xbox games now.

This may also happen to future gen Playstation games, if gamer choose digital PS5 this gen it will also affect game store business.

not sure why you are getting flagged for security issues, i would suggest using different email address from hotmail.com

MS Store & APP doesnt have to be same account, some ppl do switch account around example you have multiple user in your house.

nothing much you can do now, i believe you have another account for Windows/Office? most Xbox user that started early only had 1 MS account for everything, if its region issue you can still switch on your main account, but you already had GPU on the other...

but dont worry on that, when you got your xbox it wont show that.
