Is the series S support 1440p resolution? Really interested with the series s but want to connect it to a monitor.
*
Yes it does. But it doesn't necessarily mean games run at 1440p on Series S. That's just the maximum supported resolution. In reality most games will run at 1080p, sometimes even lower, depending on the game.

Eneloops man...

Only Recently threw away some 11 yr old “Sanyo” eneloops because they stopped holding a charge.

They’re the reason I didn’t bother with the series 2 elite controller.

Edit - or the IKEA branded ones

Eneloop here here too. Standard ones will do, no need Pro.

Good solid use and if you buy the set of 4s, can rotate them around. The IKEAs are probably Eneloops in disguise - read it somewhere that their performance are quite similar haha.

I also prefer having easily replaceable batteries. You literally have so many options. Don't like buying AAs all the time? Use reachargeable AA batteries. Don't want to stop gaming because your batteries run out? Use the play and charge kit to charge the batteries while still gaming. I really wish Playstation fans would stop saying Xbox is stuck in the past. Having the freedom and ease to swap out the batteries is far preferable than being forced to always charge your controller when the batteries run out. And when the internal battery becomes bad? You have to open up the controller and change it yourself. Now that's inconvenient.

Replaceable is always better than internal. Internal batteries are smaller, like you said - also hold lesser charge vs replaceable which you can easily swap out for spare and charge the depleted one.

I remember my previous DS4 on PS4 battery can barely last a week of gameplay, while on my XBOX its easily 2 weeks + headphones connected. Marvel.

The play and charge kit is technically just a rechargeable battery kit and a USB cable. I have 2 of them for Xbox One. The rechargeable battery can be inserted into an Xbox Series controller without problems. The only difference is the Xbox One kit came with a Micro USB cable, while the Series kit comes with a USB C cable. If you are having trouble finding the Xbox Series kit, just get the Xbox One version, then use a USB C cable to charge it.

I found someone selling the Xbox One kit here.

Yup. My typical experience with my DS4 would be, when I want to play a game, I pick up the controller, turn on the PS4 with the controller, see the weak battery notice, plug the controller using a micro USB cable (plugged via USB extension cable), then play the game with the cable still attached. Then if I'm lucky, maybe the battery still has charge when I decide to play it the next time. If not, repeat the whole charging process again.

Same here. I use rechargeabe AAs too, but on my 360 controller. For the Xbox One X I use a rechargeable battery pack. Both of them can last for weeks without charging. I don't play too much these days, which explains the long battery life. Amazingly I play even less on my PS4 these days, yet the battery on the DS4 usually drains much faster than either of my Xbox controllers. It's annoying.

It should. All Xbox One accessories EXCEPT the Kinect will work on them. I also still have a first gen Xbox One controller around. Though I no longer use it because the Dpad went bust. Here's the Xbox page confirming what accessories work with the Series consoles.

Most people will select Singapore or US. But I prefer using US account, because of legacy problems (region lock) with some older games. Some games might be available in the US store, but not the Singapore store. On the other hand, the Singapore store might have better pricing due to more favorable conversion rate to RM. Just pay attention when buying gift cards. They are unique for each country. If your account is a US account, you can't claim a Singapore gift card, and vice versa.

It's slightly smaller than the Xbox One controller. But not by much. They just reduced the face area slightly. Try comparing it to the 360 face area, which is actually even smaller. In my opinion the 360 controller feels the most comfortable to hold. I would call it the greatest controller of all time if not for the Dpad. The transforming Dpad fixes that issue for me.

The original Xbox One controller is not as good or as comfortable as the 360 controller for me. The thumbsticks have been raised slightly, meaning yout thumbs don't rest as naturally as on the 360 controller. The bumpers also are angled slightly differently from the 360 controller. Moving your index fingers between the triggers and the bumpers feel a bit awkward. The triggers are also raised compares to the 360 controllers. Try pulling in the trigger fully. You can see that the "hat" on the trigger is visible. On the 360, the trigger is almost fully flush. A revision of the Xbox One controller fixes the Dpad and also adds Bluetooth support. Otherwise it feels the same as the original Xbox One controller.

The Series controller is actually a slight variation of the Xbox One controller. It has the same ergonomics as the Xbox One controller, with the same thumbstick height and angled bumpers as the Xbox One controller. It also has the same trigger design. If you've used an Xbox One controller before, the Series controllers actually feel exactly the same. Only the Dpad has once again been changed.

Basically you are too used to the 360 controller, just like me. Over time I got comfortable enough using the Xbox One controller, but I still prefer the 360 controller.
