Rumour has it MS are buying SEGA and announcing at the TGS... I'll be looking at getting the series x. Probably will miss the 1st batch but i can wait. Of the launch titles Yakuza - like a dragon interests me the most and that's on the one and on gamepass.

I'm actually really grateful having stayed with xbox for the last generation as it's pretty cool that i'll have games from 4 xbox generations ready to play.

What games were you looking forward to see at 4k 60fps? I think a few of the reviewers mention sekiro only hitting 59 but that's still a big improvement from right now..

Much of my old 360 collection is still on disc so will be getting the series x for the drive and BC. I think if you're not budget dependent you might as well just get the series x, it'll be worth it in the long run.

You're making me nostalgic for their old days. I used to go in lots to talk to Jason and Ed during the 360 era and they would always make time for me. I was quite a big customer then and they used to bring in everything. They have done quite a lot for the community in the past - like organising community events and high profile launches, that creates buzz which is great for gaming in general.

When their curve branch closed down and they moved to the bigger malls, it became more difficult to visit the shop as often as i would like. For one the parking at the curve was much better than 1U. With all their different branches, i rarely saw them and in the xbox one era i went mostly digital and with the terrible stock for xbox at retail, i had even less reason to go visit GH.

Having said that I don't blame them for pushing a bundle. If it's good value, then people will buy. After all, the PS5 is not exclusive from Gamers Hideout. But ihe bundle just looks like bad value with awful 3rd party trash. I thought the choice for the consumer would be, if it's bad value then don't buy from them and go to another retailer. Not buy from them and complain that you are getting bad value.

I actually got the new mario game and watch as a Christmas present from my wife. She bought it from impulse - i think their advertised price was RM500 for a maxsoft set for something that costs USD50RRP. It's not something i would have bought for myself but I'm still annoyed with the price gouging on that.

That's why I'm still waiting for impulse - I believe they will actually assist with the RMA process which is the next best thing to a local warranty.

I'm cool with waiting - there's really nothing I'm missing out on by sticking to my one x... and the game pass releases have been keeping me busy.

Semi annoyed i bought control:ultimate edition during the sale. It's been so good though and at least there's the DLC included...

I wouldn't buy a game that I've already played just for the graphic upgrade. It's like the BC 4k upgrade on the one X, it looked really good for a 360 game but there was no way in hell i was going to find the time to play that again. Actually there was already a lot of rumours around 6 months ago that control was coming onto gamepass but like you said the pricing was really good.

Still... Sekiro is not going to come to gamepass right? Or wait for the next price drop lol

Got excited when I received a notification email from impulse for the xbox one. Thought it would be for a SG set. Turned out it was for a RM2999 JP set.

Sad.

Don't know if this is old news or not but i think they changed geographical lock for 360 games in the store refresh. I've never been able to buy Catherine due to the geo lock but I just bought it for $5 as it is currently on sale.

Plan to continue using it for archiving and copy to internal ssd for games that are currently played when i (eventually) get my xsx.
