Anyone using External SSD/HDD on ur xbox ?
Recently i bought NVME SSD Kingston A2000 pair with the Orico Enclosure At first everything works fine: Xbox detect the SSD > Format > Ready to use. But at some random point, i will receive after a fresh boot up : "Try another USB port or cable" "We see your external storage, but the connection is too weak to use (0x8082000d)" I tried change 3 cables already and yet still receive RNG-ly. Tried another port also. Though i can just unplug and plug back the External SSD which will solve the problem but this is just too troublesome. Do you have another external storage to try? there is a possibility of compatibility issue of the enclosure? |

QUOTE(Timemuffin @ Jan 18 2021, 12:38 PM) I have become a 60 fps console snob That's the allure of PC gaming for many people. 60 FPS should have been the mimimum for games a long time ago. But with each new generation, the focus always seem to be higher effects or resolution instead of higher FPS. 4K/60 FPS would be fine for me for this generation. 120 FPS gaming on console still isn't very common it seems.Any game no 60 fps I straight up stop playing Or play the gamepass pc ver |

Plugged to the back of the console with its stock cable. No issues for the past month. Perhaps it is your orico enclosure? I never have luck with those |

Do you have another external storage to try? there is a possibility of compatibility issue of the enclosure? 1) 2.5" using HDD 7200rpm (USB C to A) 2) NVME SSD enclosure (USB C to A) previously the 2.5" no issue so i changed to the NVME enclosure. Then the issue randomly happened Currently testing another port and i dun use front one since normally front one not enough power also. Why bother with 1tb? Doesn't seem like a lot to me. I've been using this for a couple of years now https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072QH2JCL/ref=dp_prsubs_1
Plan to continue using it for archiving and copy to internal ssd for games that are currently played when i (eventually) get my xsx. |

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Jan 19 2021, 10:02 AM) i guess probably the nvme drive power draw is high, or the enclosure power draw is high that need extra juice from the usb port. Hmm .. but when i check the power consumption, NVME actually should draw lower and the spec given by Orico also lower than normal enclosure.Unless Orico fake the information :\ |
