RM599??? So RM1900-RM599 = RM1301

Wow then that is only cost for viewty. damn good price.

Unfortunately, that's the trick. Price of phone without the printer is RM1999.00 (normal retail price being RM2099.00). Difference of RM100 only. sad.gif

The only other way around this is to buy the package and then sell of the printer separately to recoup some money. blush.gif

bro... its not that viewty is cheap. you are doing it abit wrong... printers cost is much much more lower that you imagine. furthermore its a bundle package, and i can see that this printer not worth more than RM200 if direct from factory with a big volume. canon doesnt need to be afraid becoz, they will gain back when they sell you consumables and inks~

i played with the phone today.

the UI seemed ok.
nothing fancy.
the camera is nice.
the manual focus takes some time to get used to but i think using the AF is so much easier.
the 120fps is something very neat indeed.
typing the sms is alright.
3 options, handwriting recognition, keypad (like on normal phones) and qwerty.
i personally prefer qwerty.
the lipstick stylus is rather annoying as it moves around when u moved the phone.

other than that, i feel like the phone is just ok.
maybe i'll wait for w960i and maybe just settle for n81.
maybe i had too high expectations of it.

Yeah, the design is unique but the performance is a bit in doubt right now. Hopefully the new firmware fixes a lot of the bugs that it has.

Hi...mind sharing which shops offered you the pricing for the Viewty and N82? I'm undecided between these two at the moment...

Thanks.

wahhh... so many ppl in dilemma to buy new year phone. I'm also stuck in between Viewty and N82.

Price : Viewty wins (free printer + 1GB microSD) for Original set

Viewty strong features:
1) 3" Touchscreen (sensitive or not, need to try it urself)
2) 120fps QVGA video (useless for me)
3) Edit photo & video on-the-fly
4) QWERTY keyboard (SMS and email only; not for web URL)
5) ISO800
6) Image stabilizer
7) VGA videocall (N82 only CIF quality)
8) Manual focus / jog-scroller

N82 strong features:
1) Can install many 3rd party apps like fring.com, call recorder, nokmote, etc.
2) Assisted-GPS
3) Multi-tasking (i.e listen to MP3 while browsing)
4) WiFi
5) 3.5mm audio jack (but compatibility with cheap headset is questionable)
6) Unlimited phonebook entries (Viewty maxed at 500 entries only)
7) Push-to-talk
8) Voice dial

Guess, I'll have to do more research on these two phones before passing over my E61 to his new owner.

Do we have dedicated thread on these Viewty vs. N82? Tried the search function, but only found K850i vs N82. For me, K850i is history.

Yup the N82 keypad had turned me off. Need <removed> to make me "buy" N82...LOL

hopefully N82i or 8GB will give free bluetooth flip-keyboard, if that thing is available in the market.
