7-11 doesn’t accept boost.

Some don’t accept e wallet for bill payment.

Check with the outlet you’re going.

I think you can explained the steps below to 7-11 staff on how to pay bills using touch n go ewallet.
Steps:
1. Tell the staff you want pay TnB bills using TnG eWallet.
2. The staff will then select bill payment->TnB at their counter (They can select various bills like Unifi, Air Selangor, Astro, etc)
3. Show your bill barcode (softcopy or hardcopy) and let the staff scan, in this case I just show my barcode in smartphone.
4. Tell the staff the amount you want to pay.
5. The staff will then manually key in the amount.
6. The staff will scan your TNG eWallet.
7. Receipt will be printed out.
8. Keep the receipt for reference just in case any issue occur.

The 1st 7e I went, the staff straight away rejected my request. I don't wan argue and just left.

2nd 2nd 7e, the staff replied "not sure" and even ask other staff. I just mentioned my friend successful paid. Then the staff try with doubt. In the end, it's success.

Managed to pay TnB bill RM20 on 30 & 31 Dec to enjoy RM4 CB for 2 days.

Yea, was rejected earlier when I attempted to pay TNB using Razer Pay but TnG eWallet was accepted.

I find this to be weird since they're both using the same terminal. sweat.gif

The manager of one of my regular 7-11 says the above 3 wallets are accepted for bill payments, but not cards.

Are you trying to pay bills with discount vouchers using RP?

Thanks for the screenshot. I'll make it a point to show them when they refused RP for bill payment.

The only obstacle is the fact that it's usually foreigner manning the counter at the 7-11 near me & he even had a hard time understanding either "twelve" or "dua belas". doh.gif

All he could tell me was that TnG eWallet is allowed but not RP when it comes to bill payment.

The 7e at my area also nobody tried to pay bills using ewallet yet. The cashier, a Chinese uncle, said cannot at first, then consulted his supervisor, who said can pay bill but not credit reload. Then he proceeded to scan the barcode from TNB bill and scanned my TnG wallet. It went through and he was amazed by how fast the technology has changed and advanced so much laugh.gif

Lately keep offline is true. But if say blocked or cannot use, then is not.

Maybe due to heavy volume...

the tnb bill only have 1 barcode. let them scan lor. their POS will be able to capture the acct number (first 12-digit)

reason for scanning is to reduce typo and easier for them to capture the number. some POS may not have num-pad to enter the number, so a barcode scanner is faster.

You can save the pdf bill on the phone, or snap the barcodes from the physical bill, then let the cashier scan it.

https://www.e-pay.com.my/ now accepting Grabpay and Boost as their mode of payment

so basically you can pay TNB bill using e-pay website and then pay via boost
and yes, you will get shake reward as well

if u have bonuslink

u will get bonuslink points and shake reward (boost)
*
QUOTE(EdwardFur @ Jan 30 2020, 01:02 PM)
HI

I have checked again and can confirm that E-Pay bonuslink website has been fixed

http://bonuslink.com.my/EN/Promotions/170719_Epay.aspx

for thus who participate in boost mission, you can use your desktop to pay your utility bill (TNB, water) or ptptn or to topup your phone

if you use desktop, you will be given QR code like this to scan
[attachmentid=10415505]
but if you pay using your mobile phone, i think epay will redirect you into your boost account, thus you dont earn anything for your scan and pay mission

thanks

Haha. Got it now. So strange that it requires RM40 to activate it. The earlier screen just mention min. RM30 and max. RM800.

Thanks for the advise.

Bonuslink points only once a day, right?

On further checking, in the FAQ, it is stated for TNB and Maxis, only one transaction per account per day.

Need to pay tomorrow to earn 20 Bonuslink points. Not worth the trouble. Next time I just pay full to get Grabpay points.

e-pay you can do at home!
This one you need to find a post office which has that supporting kiosk!
Different game plan but if you're paying at 7-11, this makes equal ground footing.

call/epay to cancel the payment.

epay side failed, but the payment (boost) already success <-- epay to cancel this transaction in boost's merchant portal and it will be refunded back to your wallet.

enjoy while you can!

Yes there is. Example is the remaining bill payee that still accepts Boost/Grabpay, like water bill, telco bill etc.
I just feel bad for the cease of tnb in epay. However, life has to go on. Cheers.

Why e-pay disable the TNB payment via boost ? I just registered E-pay to pay TNB.

No luck ? any other new method to pay TNB by using ewallet ? Thanks

Think about it.

When the promo ended, there will be no cashback paying bills at 7-11. Why not just save the hassle and pay inside mytnb app instead?

However, If you have credit cardb(eg. public bank quantum MasterCard, Stanchart Liverpool etc) that earns you cashback for e-wallet reload trxn, then yes by all means go ahead pay the bill at 7-11 using ewallet.

actually paying using public bank quantum MasterCard in myTNB app/portal will earn you 5% as well... don't need to go 7eleven.

Oh ya, you are right.
This is very good example.

Conclusion is, use the ewallet only when the 7-11/ewallet promo gives you greater reward than credit card alone.

You're right.
If there are double or even triple benefits, of course go for the greater one.

So, you admit that when there is No benefit, you also won't want to go to 7-11 right?

I have not use it before, so can't be sure. But it seems to good to be true. Can pay utility bills and earn commission? A bit like pyramid scheme don't you think?

They are definitely not like Fave where Fave doesn't hold any money. Fave are enablers. Gopay is more of a wallet. Unless they can show that they are BNM approved, i'd be careful.

If it's too good to be true, it most probably is.
Anyway, like any schemes, the early adopters will always make some money.

Thanks for sharing. So we need to use credit card to reload the wallet, then use the funds in the wallet to make payment?

The main selling point of this wallet is the commission?
*
There are 3 method to top up your GOPAY wallet which is online banking, Boost and offline wallet.

You can only use all the money within the apps only to pay bills, mobile reload and etc.

When you pay bills or mobile reloads, you will earn very little cashback for example I pay TNB bills will get about RM0.16 cashback.

The commission is to share your referral code to other and when they made payment, you will earn some commission as well.

Boost will get shake reward as well.
I have done couple time TNB bill payment, and it will reflect in TNB website within 30mins.

One bad thing is this app can't pay bill in cents, if your total bill is RM99.80 then you need to pay extra 20 cents to make it RM100.

1X per tnb account per day, limit to 5x per month for same account

So you can pay 2 separate tnb accounts on same day no issue

just visit any of your nearest outlets to see if the kiosk is there.

Yea, my point is, you'll only be eligible to get 3 * RM5 rewards for retail transactions, hence the reason you didn't get any cashback for your 4th transaction.

Seems not all machine for now have e wallet payment
The company has also conducted a soft launch of its cashless payment initiative by enabling three e-Wallets at selected Pos Automated Machines (PAM) to accept Touch N Go e-Wallet, Boost and Maybank QRPay for bill payments to eventually 30 billers or agencies. The move, which will be expanded across all Pos Malaysia channels including post office counters, website, and mobile application in the near term is in line with the country’s direction towards a cashless society. The new core system is expected to be fully operational by mid-2020, with supporting sub-systems to follow.

Sorry not sure i can ask question on this page or i do wrong as relate TNB.
I check many e-wallet no payment for TNB, so i skip.
But Im in Sabah.
Sabah Electric got it. I think for Sarawak ppl, Sarawak Electric also can.
Which E-wallet better rebate or point?
1) GrapPay
2) Boost
3) TnG
4) Or Other like ShopeePay or etc

Electric Bill consider govern so i think CC no rebate or etc. so i choose Ewallet.

By the way. Maxis Home Broadband tooo. Which ewallet better? rclxms.gif rclxms.gif Just successfuly apply and using it

You need to spend time to monitor all the campaigns, such as Boost online day (every 8th of the month), TnG Wallet - 7-eleven (expired in Feb), Lazada Wallet (this week, 8% capped RM8), Shopee (3/3, 10% capped RM5).

For Sarawak Energy, the best is SarawakPay which is owned by Sarawak Government, the SarawakPay QR code is printed on all electricity/water/assessment bills so I can just scan and pay, very convenient. You can hope the newly launched SabahPay may perform as well as SarawakPay in the future. smile.gif

Can't pay online under Utilities. Must go to the SESB's payment counters if he wants to use CC to pay.

Only if e-pay is not excluded.
Not every month, there is a cap, eg 8/2, only RM8 max so pay max RM40 only.
Ask in Boost Thread and check our postings on 8/2 onwards.

Pay TNB using elinking is good.
Elinking itself will have some voucher & rebate aside from topping up elinking using boost which entitle you shake reward too.

Your payment took more days than mine.
So 3 days is pretty normal right?
Coz all my previous payments were reflected in mytnb apps within 1-2 hours. That's why this time (took >24 hrs) I am a bit worried.

ok thanks for ur replies, RM30 min for bill payment.
wonder any limit per month for an account?
can just register using username and password, wonder how to recover account if fraud happen without mobile number verification shocking.gif
*
RM30 min is applicable to TNB only. for others, it has different limit

So far TM unifi limits 5x per month, just like any other payment gateway limitation. TNB, to my experience, nope. maybe due the amount doesn't hit the limit of transactions yet. laugh.gif

I registered with email tho. so i assume it will send an email if something happened sweat.gif

I had more than 2k in wallet before, I knew someone with more than 5k. Mine was 3.5k.
Limit per day is 2k for TNB bill, but I have paid same account for more than 6k, split into more than 3 days.

I tot it just for the meaning they accept e-wallet as one of the payment method..but not for bill payment.
I checked last month, they couldn't accept e-wallet for bill payment.

been thinking about it for awhile but lazy to post, but with the lockdown, there's free time. it's weird that epay tnb still has not been restored, since its even printed at the back of tnb bills stating that epay as a payment channel.

Go to your nearest 7-11 in your area to pay your TNB bill if you insist to use TnG e-wallet.
They're still allowed to operate.

To elinking users,
bill payment now got 2% service charge or RM1 (whichever higher).
i just utilized all my remaining credits to pay tnb. Sayonara.

by the way, it's still a good alternative for Boost users (who face difficulty to maintain Level 4) , given that tnb bills represent a big portion of monthly expenses.

Lucky you.
Yes i used App credit. Now no more handling fee waiver even though using their app credit.

By the way, i suppose you also know that each successful bill payment will entitle for 1 lucky spin. I usually got the RM0.80 voucher. Can help offset partially service charge, better than nothing right. Cheers.

Yes, I know. I did get free credits too, my friend got RM 10 credit once. laugh.gif
I have paid more than RM 30k for TNB, tried to rake in as many points as I can get from GrabPay. I already stopped paying after it has changed to 3x, just two days ago wanna use up my existing Boost balance so I reloaded my app credit again. Glad that I paid on that same day and didn't wait till this month. sweat.gif

Now i checked back the finalized trxn details. It didn't charge me handling fee. My bad.
I keep thinking i was charged, probably because the last screen (before proceed to payment) show me the handling fee. If I recall correctly previous trxn were not like this, that time the screen showed waived fee (instead of 2%).

Quote elinking :
If the amount is less than or equal to RM50, we'll charge a transaction fee of RM1;
If the amount is more than RM50, we'll charge a 2% transaction fee for the amount

Is this true? Regardless of app credit or online payment mentioned earlier?

i tried for tnb today..checked an hour later, already reflected. not bad.

anyway, downside so far i can think of is the fixed top up amounts, and paying bills at a rounded up amount. meaning, most likely there will always be some balance in elinking. also the minimum rm30 and max rm2000 for tnb. i may be wrong, just my first day using it.

Hi everyone here.

Thanks for suggesting the Elinking. Just used it today and it reflected in myTNB account within 15~20 minutes. And yes the downside is really the topup amount.

Still wondering why la TNB didnt broaden their payment channel. Previously able to pay with e-pay but now cannot anymore doh.gif

what is the limit of credit balance for Elinking, seems can't find the T&C anywhere? how to top up more than RM500 as the selection maximum is only RM500, for instance if i want to top up RM5000 i need to repeat 10 times, is there any limit or trigger any alert for doing it repeatedly?

Yes, 500*10. Never tried 10x though, only 4-5 times, so far no issue.

same issue @ 13 Apr. payment to 2 differnt tnb accounts. smaller amount went through. RM160+ payment stucked.

yesterday 14 Apr, after 24hrs wait, chat with cs. same response, wait for 72hrs. i purposely screenshot mytnb and elinking transaction history and post into the chat.

later the day, noticed payment went through. description is "RHB BATCH" in mytnb portal. usually, elinking transaction has the description "ePAY Real Time"

better start clearing the elinking credit. worry epay start restricting tnb payment (perhaps large amount?) or elinking/epay has issues during these few days. hopefully not a permanent issue. hmm.gif

if straight use boost to make payment, elinking charge RM1 per transaction.
assuming reload from cc which has 5% cashback, and the payment amount using elinking is RM100

100 * 0.05 = RM5 from reloading into boost

if take mission in boost for making payment, (scan n pay?), reward is RM3 (example)

the cash back for making payment of RM100 is RM8 - RM1 = RM7

however, if the reloading cash into boost doesnt entitled any cash back, only got mission cash back, the cash back need to minus RM1 in elinking
which doesnt sound a good cash back in this scenario...
unless topup elinking app credit is also consider as "scan n pay" in boost, then can avoid the RM1 charge...

so, is the topup of elinking app credit using boost, consider as scan n pay or how?

Not sure which category for boost topup appcredit. I tried the mission spend 500 get rm6 by top up into appcredit. Do get the mission cashback.

Top up appcredit, rm 20 get one lucky draw, usually RM0.8 discount.
Pay one bill above 30 get another draw. Log in daily one draw.
Average RM 0.8X3 VOCHER per day.
what I do is pay tnb daily by amount of rm 30.
So a 300 bills take 10days. With min 0.8 vocher=RM8
If you lucky in-between, will get some app credit.

8/300 = 2.6%
Boost spend 300= 600 coin for level 4(equal RM6)

Sikit sikit jadi bukit.
😅

Didn't count how u top up boost.
Cc>bp>boost
Cc>boost

All cashback.
But i hope E-Pay will able to pay tnb again.

If I am only interested to use it for bill payment to TNB & SAJ, will I still be assigned an eSim n a mobile number?
Cant find Elinking's website, so all info on https://www.facebook.com/pg/Elinking-Durian...86998261/posts/ ?

Dear sifu,

May I ask if I had paid for TNB bill yesterday around 1pm then can I pay again today after 12am or do I need to wait till 1pm (after 24 hours) ?

Cos I had tried pay today after 12am but the transaction was immediately showed 'Recharge failed"

It is in the term and conditions.

Draw chance
Top up app credit x1 RM 20
Log in x1
Pay 1 bill x1

Max is 3 voucher perday.
Mine had end up numberous of 0.8 voucher in acc...hard to use also.

best or not depends on each individual, if u opt for cash back, IMO, currently this is the best way that i know of...

cashback from reloading using cc into boost, then take mission in boost (cash back again), any payment made from boost got coins
then payment using elink min RM30, got cash back in appcredit...

so calculate yourself...

add:
its not written on official post, its based on user testing...

Hi guys!

Since we didn't receive TNB paper bills last month can I use the previous bills to scan at 7E for bill payment? I'm using TnG e-wallet.

Oh, I don't have the TNB online account as I'm not the owner for my apartment.

Tried to reload elinking wallet with boost.
Usually wont grant extra boost coin (guess boost only charge minimal fee from eMOL)

But still it counts towards total spending and completing mission

You can download the TNB app. You don't have to be the owner to see your bill. I am renting, and I can still see the bill.

i think you are talking about boost coin.
level 4 is always x2 no matter how much u spend.
RM20 = 40 coins
RM200 = 400 coins (may have bonus coins)

credit app mean elinking top up. like transfer money into elinking appcredit.
you get one lucky draw in elinking if top up rm20.

if u top up RM200 lumpsum into elinking, u lose 9 lucky draw chance.

I had split into a few transactions, so far i had paid TNB RM30 x 3
Is there limit how many times we can pay for the same account?
Cos planning to pay for 7 times in total.

It is quite a good source of "spending" to maintain Boost level since personally i doesn't spend much >.<

Average only spending Rm 600 per month for fixed bills and majority (around 45% of the spending) is TNB spending.

after joined eliking and playing around 2 days ,

I summarized the strategy below :
1. must login daily to earn 1 lucky draw . I got RM0.80 voucher for 2 days
2. Add minium RM20 to gain another lucky draw. Do once only , more dun have extra spin.
3. Pay mininum RM30 TNB (i havent start yet, will start in May)
4. Above#3, spread out TNB bill. Eg RM240 TNB, split RM30X8 to pay using the 80sen voucher.

that;s all i have.

Weird, initially I thought that was it, but I've not had any vouchers for awhile now. Did the RM 30 thing for 2 accounts today. 🤔 Hmmm..

Anyway, I found this after clicking around for awhile. Didn't bother to read. Maybe it applies, maybe not.

*edit : Found the "Daily Rewards" thing. Previously it was a pop-up, so I never knew that icon was ever there. My mistake.

it is just an app offering e-sim and bill payment service.

you can ignore the e-sim service if you don't want to. not all phone is compatible for the e-sim anyway

From 9x to 3x which is a lot of reduction for me.

No better alternative for now, just that I don't pay for my friend anymore, that >30k is from him and I just helped him to pay. As for my TNB bill, is not paid by me.

Thanks for head up. I went back to check trxn details, indeed no service charge.
You can try make a payment see got fee or not.

Yes, confirm - For TNB payment

Use APP credit - RM0.50 per transaction

Use other payment method
- less than RM50, fixed fee of RM1 per transaction
- more than RM50, 2% of the transaction amount

Yes just paid few bills with boost using pos malaysia PAM. 2X coins for L4.
You can add few bills on the machine first then pay all one shot in the end. The machine will scan your QR code.

For boost, 1400 coins = can redeem back RM15.
So need pay RM700 bills to get RM15 return for L4 user.
Around 2%+ return. Can add in Scan & Pay mission to get more return.

that's about the same # i tested in march, and it failed me there after. maybe, if you don't mind, you can wait for another day to try. last month i tested, failed for few days. so i stopped doing that. just for testing anyhow.

if so it should have a fixed transaction limit per month, i just trace back, one account 17 transactions and one 16 transaction for month of April, both got refunded today after few minutes of successful payment

is it me or anyone also facing this issue where successful payment got refunded after few minutes despite already more than 24 hours?
last successful posted payment was 21st 9pm, on 22nd the whole day been trying to pay but got refunded issue even after the 24 hours, on 23rd 12am still same, then tried again 11am and successfully posted. previously before implementation of RM0.50 fee, never encounter such issue and the daily limit is reset at 12am everyday.

dun think is about the timing issue, been trying the whole day (on 22nd) since morning till end of day, payment success after few mins got refunded. if it's duplicate payment, it will prompt warning that the same account already paid for the day, but not for the case.

Razer pay - some claim got poster said can accept,ut so far no much outlet can accept.
other ewallet - none reported can accept. so it can say no accept.

I tried setting up and link to CC for payment but the only option to deduct the funds from QR pay is from saving acc or MAE only.

That's why when he asked the question I'm doubt that how he could QR pay by using Maybank CC. hmm.gif

I chat with in-app customer service. They confirmed the "electricity bill" actually is tnb. They changed the naming due to "certain reason".
I have a bad feeling this app will cease tnb bill payment sooner or later.

Do you mind sharing when you paid?

I paid at 2.26pm today and still not reflected. Also it is listed as "paid" instead of successful recharge unlike my previous payments.

When I go to "My Order" page, it says "paid" only instead of "successful recharge". All other payments say "successful recharge".

check ur transaction records whether the paid transaction got refunded?

Nope - not refunded.

In "App Credit" page it is listed as "Transact business"

In "My Order" (Utilities) page it is listed as "Electricity Bill - Paid" (not successful recharge like the others)

in "Pay Bills" (Records) page it is totally missing. My subsequent payment at 6.46pm is listed there.

WEIRD right?

Do you know the best way to contact CS?
