QUOTE(MUM @ Jun 22 2022, 12:01 PM) While waiting for value added responses,... Hmm I just subscribed to the Pengisythiran Amanah and notice that there is a RM1000 unit being blocked as a minimum amount to be retained in account to be distributed to next of kin as long as the PA is active. If you meant this, PENGISYTIHARAN AMANAH / TRUST DECLARATION is an estate administration service provided by ASNB for its non-muslim Malaysian Unit Holders. It adopts the concept of trust where the unit trust investments will be managed by ASNB and will be transferred directly to the named recipients after the demise of the Unit Holder. . Then maybe can try this for some info Fees. https://www.asnb.com.my/pengisytiharanamanah_YURAN_EN.php Interestingly, the cash value of the investment is reduced by RM1000, although the total value remains the same. Does this mean the RM1000 is actually blocked with no dividend payout? anyone have any idea? This post has been edited by Chrono-Trigger: Jul 16 2022, 08:19 PM |

QUOTE(MUM @ Jul 16 2022, 08:30 PM) While waiting for value added responses,... My guess is,.... Since the total value is inclusive of that 1k,.....thus the dividend on this 1k will be included in the calculation. It's RM1000 blocked PER account.Else, if 5%pa then 1k = 50 *30yrs = 1500 rugi if 30 yrs ASM1, ASM2, ASM3 = RM3000 blocked 30 years is RM4500 |

QUOTE(MUM @ Jul 16 2022, 09:12 PM) well... even so.. it's still cheaper than put inside a will right?Probate for Will execution can be as high as 5% , that's government tax only, not including lawyer fee... p/s the best is to transfer money to beneficiaries before RIP, but so many char siew children these days.... QUOTE(MattSally @ Aug 24 2022, 08:48 AM) I am fairly confident that ASB/ASM funds will recover to at least >6%/>5% respectively. The question is, when? this world is so messed up.when we thought it was getting better, covid came. Then when we thought covid was over, Ukraine war and supply chain problem came. To add salt to the wound, inflation and high interest , driving major economy into recession in early 2023. one disaster after another. |

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Aug 30 2022, 12:03 PM) Yup .. Our economy has reopened in the last 9 months, but the funds still not performing. hmmNow seems like EPF is more better bet vs ASNB funds... Yes. It's not apple to apple comparable.... But both is based in Malaysia & "unit price is fixed"... ie. Rm1 mean rm1... No change when dump into account.... Unlike others investment.... Might swing either way after "invest".... |

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Aug 30 2022, 12:20 PM) Only dump the excess $$$... but REITS ... has danger of market volatility, the principle value can go up and down....If u feel the need to use that money... Then look elsewhere.... Like some says.... REITs..... Which can be sold anytime... PNB at least is RM1 fixed. need to consider that too |

For consolation, do yourself a favour. withdraw 5000 to buy iPhone 14. consider it a gift from PNB. Don't keep money there and rant about low dividends. take it as it comes, deal with it later.
Kthxbye |
