Notice something.
1. 1st package is 90% ASB + 10% in VP The other 2 is 50% 50% split. (Why not 90% in FP + 10% in VP like bumi? 2. The combination is such that first package VP is ASN Sara 2, but the other 2 packages are more risky equity and balanced fund. Sales charges for the 2 VP funds for the later 2 packages are therefore slightly higher than the first one. Why not introduce the Sara funds with ASM Also FP units are subject to fund units' availability. https://www.asnb.com.my/img/FPSP/FAQ%20-%20...P%20-%20ENG.pdf This post has been edited by TOS: Apr 5 2021, 04:21 PM |

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Apr 5 2021, 04:36 PM) my wild guess.. Also, not to mention that the FPs are already heavy in equity (75-80%). Introducing balanced and especially equity funds don't really diversify the holdings. Sara funds have high stakes in bonds (about 50%). From an asset allocation perspective it makes more sense to mix FP funds (heavy in equities) and Sara funds (heavy in bonds). they testing the water first... see any water fish fall for it or not... later they might introduce more bundle packages.. with 80/20 split (the best offer)Â So 50% equity + 50% balanced or even worse, 50% equity + 50% equity lol. And this is their financial planning solution package that "boost return and reduce risk" But to be fair, the 50% balanced fund has global allocation. So that should help moderate the overall return. The second package is really questionable in terms of risk optimization as the 2 funds have very similar constituents. This post has been edited by TOS: Apr 5 2021, 08:45 PM |

QUOTE(macystar @ Apr 10 2021, 10:20 PM) There is a hidden fee ("trailer fee") paid by ASNB to the bank since this is the bank's commission. So you are encouraged to trade units via ASNB directly either OTC or online. This will help "improve" overall ASNB returns to all unit holders. Or at least trade via Maybank, since most of the commission go back to PNB anyway. |

QUOTE(coolguy_0925 @ Apr 11 2021, 11:47 PM) Very taughtful of you Ya, they have greater incentive to promote VP funds these days due to the higher margins. It is certainly not worth the hassle for the banks to spam for units like fishermen here do. ROE is of prime importance for banks. Every second counts. Handling a customer who wants to borrow is much more profitable than spamming for units for customers. But seriously MBB that I went before MyASNB mostly not so keen to serve They will either tell you system down upfront or just simply no unit, at the queue number counter |

Talk about scripts and stuffs... How's the black market? Anyone still in 'WhatsApp group"? After lucifah ban this sort of trading, I don't see any updates anymore (at least in the open forum). Maybe they turn to PM already lol (Economics predict that when demand outstrips supply, a black market like the "WhatsApp group" would exist. And buyers would pay "commissions" to buy units.) Regulation would make black market disappear, theoretically. But I don't know if lucifah's ban cover private PM and "WhatsApp group". If so that should still be "available", I guess? QUOTE(junclj @ Apr 20 2021, 04:07 PM) Bumis just straight buy in asb/asb2 through myasnb without any problem. Just straight buy through FPX transfer. If you have maybank2u account, you can straight buy in through maybank2u online banking. The amount will update straight in myasnb in realtime. However, Maybank will charge you RM1.00 of processing fee. Ah. I forgot the units are not fully subscribed... If you want to buy in asb/asb2 for more than RM10k, just use Maybank2u because all banks will limit the FPX transactions to less than RM10k only. I was tried RM40k buy in ASB2 straight through Maybank2u. The amount will straight update in MyASNB. However, Maybank was charged me RM1.00 of processing fee. |

QUOTE(TheEquatorian @ Apr 24 2021, 01:27 PM) Sounds like you have carefully planned your early retirement. I share your sentiments. I actually did a Malaysia exit last year and moved half of my assets out. The 1% threshold is something I have previously kept for luxury consumption, do you have any links to crypto articles that managed to convince you? Btw, what is 4D? https://www.google.com/search?q=4d+toto |

QUOTE(Haloperidol @ May 18 2021, 10:48 AM) No , for me, it's actually entire to your portfolio management. What? Toto/gambling is part of your "portfolio"? Some people consider EPF as their asset. For me, i *totally* ignore EPF as my asset - you can't mobilize it (or at least 70% of it) (well at least before i-sinar) before 55 years old. I just treat EPF as a form of tax. Just like a pyramid. Base (50% of the distribution) should be safe and secure - my base is ASNB. Then up a level, stable return over period of 10 years + -> go for property / REITs Then up another level -> higher risk, higher fluctuation -> stocks, derivatives. Then up another small but wild swing -> crypto/toto/gambling wakakaka |
