LS2 Helmets created their proprietary helmet shell material Kinetic Polymer Alloy, (KPA). It uses nanotechnology to stretch and shrink aramid fibers down to where cross-sections are about 1 BILLIONTH of an inch thick and then encases them in a high-end polymer. You essentially end up with an aramid fiber shell encased in polymer. This video explains how KPA might be the best material ever developed for building a helmet shell. KPA tests as well or better than the best of the best traditional composites. It's lightweight, has some designed-in flexibility for energy management, and has a penetration resistance that meets or exceeds the best known composites in the world.

Went to the shop to take a look, the helmet looks rather big compared to other ff helmets. More for oval head fitting
Yesterday and today having Shoei Personal Fitting day at Bike World Klang(Autobacs). For those who have a Shoei Malaysia helmet can go there for free fitting or if you want to purchase a shoei helmet today got offer also but forgot how much. Next week I was told they will be at Welly Shah Alam for the fitting service. Just got mine done
chin bar down, squeeze your cheek? Or, what happens?
the temple area. i think the shape is more oval whereas my head is more typical asian round.
i know that many people choose larger sized helmet instead of getting the shape right, this is why we have so many people buying XL or XXL helmets here in malaysia, many are not bothered about fit. I am generally an M and brands with asian fit tends to fit perfectly, i will have to go up to L or even XL if i were to force myself into the wrong shape helmet.

i mean my head probably isn't true round, but some of the fit is also down to the lining used. either case, i make sure to test every helmet carefully before i buy. i was just making the point how so many people buy helmet of the wrong size. was shopping for some shoes last week and the owner too commented that it is quite common for people to buy oversized helmet.
