Duh, MYTV Broadcasting's Facebook page is like almost few hours will keep posting articles that shares from sebenar.my, to tell you what are the fake news out there.
MYTV Broadcasting's Facebook page is no longer a page that posts about digital TV stuff and content, but almost all, or absolutely all posts are shared article from sebenarnya.my
Which I find it useful but very annoying until I go Unlike the page already. Damn annoying.
If I want to get notified by fake news, I can just Like the sebenarnya.my Facebook page, no need MYTV Broadcasting to help me.
The purpose of me Liking the page is because I want to get notified on latest happenings on Malaysia digital TV. But now, the page has defeated its purpose.

Meanwhile, myFreeview Facebook page has stopped spamming stuff since 28 Feb. Previously what they do is just sharing posts from RTM and Media Prima Facebook page. Now totally gone AWOL.

So, what updates are you expecting from MYTV Broadcasting?
New channels? No, they won't tell the public until many days later.
Either you wait until someone share it on social media, or you keep doing auto scan every day, putting hopes that there'll be new channels drop down from the sky.

Change in DTT frequency? They'll let you today that tomorrow will change new frequency.
Otherwise, you will know that they've changed new frequency when your digital TV reception has gone "No Signal". So when that happens, just auto scan again. If still no signal, then adjust your antenna until you get reception.

Bitrate wise, you can stop thinking about it. They won't be increasing the bitrate, and I don't foresee that they will do that anytime soon, because they find that "it's good enough already".
"Increase bitrate? The HD picture quality looks sharp ah. I don't see a problem also."

With all of these, MYTV will keep telling you to buy DVB-T2 box that is certified with MCMC logo, and of course they'll encourage you to buy MYTV box from them.
If you use non-MYTV equipment, they'll ask you to go refer their user manual or ask the electrical shop guy that you've bought your TV/digital TV box from.

Does anyone know the MYTV Decoder technical specifications like what encoder it uses, can support wifi or not, can access internet, etc the whole nine yards.

most of TV3 programmes now has proper HD viewing.

TV3 nowadays got a little more money to upgrade "some stuff" now...

The only thing left is them to get their own mux so that all 5 channels gets proper HD like RTM.

HD upgrade, I think may only happen for 8TV and Drama Sangat (if this channel enters pay TV platform and have purchased drama for airing) even if they wish to upgrade to HD. I don't see the value for NTV7 and TV9 being upgraded to HD especially when these 2 channels has low rating and airing teleshopping all day long.

RTM channels doesn't have universal carriage on Pay TV even when the channels are broadcast in HD standard. TV Okey on Unifi TV, and for the sport and news channel in all paid platforms.

I'm not getting Media Prima channels. It can auto scan & store the channels. But says No Signal. Signal strength & quality is 50+.

Taman Permai 3 near Seremban town. The antenna is directed towards Bukit Tampin. Maybe should try Sungai Besi.

When I point antenna at Bukit Tampin, I can get Mux 2 channels only. When I point it to Sungai Besi, I can get Mux 1 channels only. I stay near Seremban town. Is it bcos my area is at d exact periphery of coverage signals?

Bukit Sungai Besi / KL Tower / Gunung Ulu Kali (a.k.a Genting Highlands):
Mux 1: CH45 666MHz
Mux 2: CH43 650MHz

Bukit Tampin:
Mux 1: CH30 546MHz
Mux 2: CH32 562MHz

You'll need someone to monitor and tell you the signal Strength % readings while you readjust/reposition the antenna.

1) What brand and model of the digital TV box are you using? Or you use your TV's built in digital TV tuner?
2) Take pic of your antenna.

Note that there would be some technical adjustments/maintenance for the satellite receiving modulator (TVRO) for the transmitters listed above (which is feeded by satellite) on 1-3 a.m., 16 May 2020. There are no frequency changes. However, if you are receiving terrestrial television signals via these transmitters currently and having issues such as missing channels on your TV/set top box after the technical adjustments, it is advisable to rescan the TV/set top box. A rescan should restore all service in the usual place.

There is no news and this is not related to digital terrestrial television service retune due to 700MHz clearance on Johor Bahru and Dungun area, which would be done on future, likely after the CMCO or a determined date selected by MYTV.

I was using a cheap indoor antenna since MyTV launched, it was working okay. Reception was bad from time to time. My house is less than 5KM from Seberang Perai tower, hence I have no intention to invest for outdoor antenna.
But recently, I just lost the reception totally. I am not sure if that's the problem of the tower or my antenna just went bad. Any idea how can I troubleshoot that before I invest in a new antenna?

You use digital TV box, or IDTV (built in digital TV tuner)?
Show us a photo of your antenna.

I'm using IDTV. Antenna like below:

Indoor antenna with booster, and your area is about 5km away from nearest transmitter...

Hmm, try turn off the signal booster, see if you can receive it?
Literally means, disconnect the USB, and connect only the antenna cable to your TV.

Today I tried to point the antenna back to Bukit Tampin. Channel 30 got about 26-30% strength & 0-2% quality. Channel 32 got about 62-70% strength & 98-100% quality. That was the best I could do & gave up trying. Only getting RTM channels. Don't know the TV box quality also as I've returned the 1st unit for remote control issues. The 2nd unit can't play Megogo & Youtube videos even though the free USB Wifi dongle has been fixed & logged into my home Wifi.

Still can't get any signal. I guess I should be looking for new antenna. Hopefully this will be better.

Get a slightly larger one than that.
