I notice that the UI on the Google Meet seems to be very big, so I guess they use a computer with a display resolution of 1024x768 (or worse, 800x600). Bad decision indeed.
There are many 16:9 aspect ratio display resolutions can be used, such as 1280x720, 1366x768 or 1600x900. Just don't make stretch their faces like that laa aiyooo  doh.gif

Eh, it's not just their fault alone. You should look the Awani "WFH" programme one. laugh.gif

Sorry to destroy the "SPM mood" on NTV7's Didik TV slot, but I find this very very disturbing shakehead.gif  shakehead.gif  doh.gif

If you are the actual student looking at this post, sorry to offend you la. I just can't un-see this. NTV7 make your faces look terribly wrong, because they use the wrong aspect ratio.  doh.gif  doh.gif
Even if the Google Meet video call feeds isn't in HD quality, at least the tech guys at Media Prima should have display it in 16:9 aspect ratio instead of force stretching/fit to screen from a 4:3 aspect ratio video resolution sweat.gif
If my face were shown on their wrongly configured aspect ratio TV screens, I will be super freaking mad  ranting.gif  ranting.gif  Make my face look damn fat like hell  bangwall.gif

Moving away from Malaysia TV, Mediacorp did this 'stretch 4:3 to 16:9' thing on their classic TV program broadcast too. So yeah, Malaysia isn't alone on this thing. doh.gif

It's persistent or come up periodically? I wouldn't mind if it's periodic.

It annoyingly shows almost throughout the programme. Sometimes it disappears for a few seconds, and then it'll reappear again later. This happens on programmes that has subtitles option.
And also the text scroller on bottom corner of the screen. I felt annoyed by RTM's "information overload on screen" doh.gif doh.gif

Irony is, even the people who turning off ntv7 because of WowShop even now start caring back. Bit different than before.

It's a government-based television network after all. So we just have to live with it. And don't get me started at *almost* all RTM commercials that end with "Maklumat Sahih Jenama Dipercayai" ones.

You can say, ALMOST ALL RTM related advertisements, including programme promos, PSA about COVID-19, always have this as the ending.

Yes, this is annoying also. I'm fine if it appears occasionally, but every single advertisement? Since around 2019 until now...? confused.gif
No other TV stations in Malaysia does that repetitively as RTM. sweat.gif

The better 1080i quality is reserved to RTMKlik app, the DTT one is a slight downgraded one.

It seems like some of ntv7 programming will be retained, even after the launch of DidikTV KPM channel tomorrow.

It includes talk shows; like Topik@7 and Trio On Point. Meanwhile for news services, Edisi7 will be renamed as Buletin Didik, and 7Edition will go as an online digital news hub.

Just heard that while I tuned to that channel but I had missed the final startup of NTV7 due to someone in the house messing up the recorder.

So the current thing is:

1. EPG would change from NTV7 to DidikTV KPM, no change in channel number
2. All existing programs that specifically has NTV7 branding would be swapped over, others don't may resume with current branding
3. The channel would be mostly education stuff

Other than that, I'd expect CJWOWSHOP would have one less channel to showing its content to.

Amirite?

Also, what about the resolution? Would they switch to HD as it's the general direction digital TV is going worldwide to abandon SD?

Here you go. It runs just as usual, no hype about the channel rebrand whatsoever. (Skip through seek 3:45)

Probably will be the final TV broadcast of ntv7’s 7Edition tonight. Afterwards, it will go as a digital content hub, as you can see the description of 7Edition’s (was ntv7 news) YouTube page.
