Cloverfield indeed is a good movie...
I find that this movie... is either u LOVEEEE it ...or u HATEEEE it.. N majority hates it..due to unable to accept the different approach of the movie...i actually heard a lot of ppl BOOOOoo..ceeeh..in d end of d movie... or exit in d mid of d movie.

For those movie goers who enjoy all type of movies and d creativity the director put into it.. they will love it...

it might gets a bit dizzy but.. this effects make the movie looks more realistic.... even now my mind r flashing back the scene...D feeling it brings...is really kinda like 3rd person shooter games... ppl who enjoy playing games will oso like this.

Im sure if this movie is not shoot from d way it is (video cam shoot), i will definately say..is a common movie..lausy..boring story line etc... just watching d 3d CG.. CG CG CG.. dont u get bored of seeing CG in LOTR, KING KONG, HARRY POTTER, These movies CG team get the credit.. not the director.

Indeed.. its "LOVEABLE" because its using a brand new approach , not just in the making of this movie, but in the viral marketing too... causing many people to be curious about the setup of such films.. kudos there. I believe many loves it because of the very clever ways many clues are spread all over the net by the cloverfield marketing team, making it feels like "oooh.. finally.... a movie NOT for those who LAZY to think".

but some of us who hates it, their reasons are not baseless and illogical. If the movie meant to be "as real as possible", The clover-fans should not attack the clover-haters for nitpicking OBVIOUS illogical flaws after "accepting" the premise of this story about MONSTER attacking a city.

Just because a monster can attack a city, the cam becomes invincible? and the cam-holder becomes hell-bent in capturing the scenes of their escape, rather than focusing to staying alive/ assisting his friends in climbing stairs/maneuvoring corridors in slanted building during the escape process? That's pretty "hard" to swallow sometimes..

All I can see here... the clover-fans thinks the haters are somewhat "shallow" for not understanding the REAL MEANING (albeit its "minor" flaws") of this movie to "love it " enough. Who is really shallow now? Such fans is asking us to "abandon" the -ve thinking bout this movie , and FOCUSING on its +ve points instead, which should be amplified to the MAX .. seems likes a brainless way to rate a movie, don't you think so?


there are many ways in judging a movie. As long as its not preposterous, we all should accept different ppl's point of view.. and debate them rationally.

good cam is good... it has nightvision, lighting, long-life battery, long lasting recording... thus, making good storyline...

btw, i tot the splash is juz a ship... didnt expect it as tat 'thing'...

Actually the battery life kinda sucked compared to nowadays camcorders.

It's an alternate reality which means everything it's real within the premise. A minute here is a minute in that fictitious New York City so please do understand that. It's real within it's own fiction; hence the name Alternate Reality Game [ARG].

Everything so far could and has been explained so far, within logic. It may be improbable that you and I would have done the same but not impossible. Besides, the reasons given: THE LENGTH AND THE WAY THE FILM IS SHOT are pretty silly excuses no may which way you look at it.

I think i remembered in the openings it did mentioned that it is a SD card retrieved from the rubbles of the cam, but the tape effect was one of the blunders i think, cuz i dun recall overwriting effect like in the movie happening in a SD card.

A lot of ppl misjudged me, or perhaps I got it wrong. What I meant about my suggestion to JJ Abrams is for the coming sequel, or for the continuation of the story. There is none about the Cloverfield movie I wanna change. Every great movies has to have its memorable moments, and for Cloverfield, its the decapitation of the Statue of Liberty. Now I'm suggesting to JJ Abrams that for the next coming sequel or for any viral adverts for that matter, he should put in a score, or even a unique sound/score/music for the monster itself.

Anyway, thx fly for suggesting me about the end credit music. I honestly didn't notice that the first time.

They already have a manga for Cloverfield, could I be wrong to suggest that JJ Abram might make an animated movie for Cloverfield? If he does, I'd sell my soul if he's making one using production from FFVII:Advent Children. The scores are amazing!
