Not realme 5 owner, but have a question about oppo a9 2020. No thread or forum for it yet lol. So here the question goes.
Does anybody here have problem of phone getting laggy if using earphones to listen to music? No problem when listening with speaker.
Example of problem registering touch and changing the playing song when scrolling song list. Regular apps become slightly less responsive as well while doing this.
I figure i should ask here since a9 2020 uses same chipset and same mother company as realme 5.

What did you listen to? MP3 stored locally? Streaming music?

I'm actually quite confused with this quad camera. This phone equip with 48mp main, 8mp wide, 2mp portrait and 2mp macro. So

1. When I open the camera, got ultra 48mp setting at the left. So which camera actually it's use if I didn't select ultra 48mp?

2. When I taking video, which camera it's use?

3. Portrait mode is a pic with blur background rite. So it's only use 2mp camera? Why can't it's use 48mp camera with this function since my mi5s single camera can have this function.

4. I still don't know what can macro camera do compare to main camera.

Well, for wide camera, I can feel the difference so no question about that. This is actually my 1st phone with multiple camera so at least I wanna know it's worth or not I pay for that camera.

Local music. Funny thing is if i listen to it without plugging in earphones, everything is fine. Tried a bunch of earphones too, including the one in the box. All have same issue.

By default it use 48mp sensor but when capture photo the image will be going through a process called pixel binning, which means photo you end up will be 12mp. Process itself is to help improve photo quality.

You can capture 48mp photo but at the expense of file size bigger and probably image not as good as 12mp.

2. When I taking video, which camera it's use?
48mp lens but when switch to ultra wide video, it use the wide angle lens (the one with the yellow circle around it).

No. Potrait still use 48mp camera but in portrait mode it uses additional lens to sense depth (Time of Flight lens) so it can give you better blur effect. That 2mp sensor isn't really a camera to produce image.

Macro take photos close up (4cm) but the quality of photo it produce is not great and some say you might as well use the 48mp lens and zoom in.

That depends how you going to use that phone as a camera. Just go out, take photos, and see if the end result makes you happy or not. Make sure you learn enough about the camera features and its limitation.

What if you try different headphones? Did you try using bluetooth headphones?

I just tested with wired headphones, did a bit of scrolling, browsing. I don't hear any laggy sound or stutter. MP3 plays nicely.

Better u go to the service centre and have them check the problem , its seem like the earjack socket problem ?

Have u try restart the phone or try to close all connectivity like using the flight mode and see any diff. , or try delete the cache memory of the phone unsure.gif

Dont have any bluetooth headphones so no dice there. Tried in the box earphones, a jvc xx and samsung akg note 9s, same laggyness in the ui. The sound plays perfectly though so really no idea whats going on. Even turned on high performance mode but still the same.

So far i can still live with it so taking it to the service center is not in the cards for now. Thinking of trying some cheapo bluetooth earphones first to see if its better. If it is better, then maybe just going wireless is the way. 😂

Maybe try factory reset? Just make sure to back up first.

This is a tricky decision.

Realme Pro 3 isn't bad with its higher RAM (4GB), better camera (16mp), newer CPU (SD710).

But Realme 5 has bigger battery (5000mAh), bigger screen (6.5"), 4 cameras.

I would say, for me, 3 Pro because I want more RAM and better camera.

Iirc R5 has poorer screen resolution, right? And Gorilla 3 instead of Gorilla 5 for R3pro.

Not to say poor but not full HD like R3 pro. Correct with Gorilla glass being 3 on R5. So use tempered glass for extra protection.
