If your phone has the TIM logo, it means your phone was brought from German (if im not mistaken), unlocked & then sold here as new. That's why when you update, it goes back to the generic firmware.

Thanks for the info, is there a way that I can get it back to the Malaysian "unlocked' type of Firmware? I would really appreciate it...

Bro i hav an N73 with the same TIM logo...i know its a german or a french set? not so sure bout tht but i was thinking of updating the current software to a newer one using the nokia software updater.I hav updated my I-mobile N70 with it and i din hav any probs what so ever.
So tht means the N73 might return to its generic software even if i update it and select malaysian country after tht?
Is it advisable to update? I'm not having any probs with the N73 icon_rolleyes.gif

Just choose the product number which doesn't belongs to any generic firmware. Normally, it update based on your phone's product number.. Thats why it revert back to the generic firmware.

Yeah..finally i had got myself a Nokia N70...from Samart I-mobile...at first i still thought that i was cheated...bcoz normally Nokia distributor would be Avaxx and Zitron....

Some question from me....If my phone is original....is that necessary to update current firmware?...because i found tha current firmware version is same with the pending update version....

Didn't encounter any problem so far.....btw....here's some pics of my N70...

Hi there littleway, is there a way of choosing another Product Number while updating the Firmware? I wasn't sure there was an option for me to choose Product Serials or codes... Need a little help here...

And yeah, I'm unable to surf the net like the previous times. I'm not having Malaysian's Telcos Option, I'm having the EU options... please please please do help me up in this... I'm kinda suffering here...lolz

Hey Criptonox89, maybe its not such a good idea to get a crystal case. I used a crystal case for about 2 months and i found scratches the back cover of the slider. I guess its caused by the friction between the slider cover and the crystal casing. No doubt it'll save ur N70 from a fall or 2. The clip on my crystal case gave way after 3 falls if im not mistaken. my advice is to just get a AAA grade casing.

Nokia handphone recognize only GB2312 unicode characters. You have to convert your ID3 tag into that font format, then only transfer to your phone. I use TTPlayer (千千静听) to convert...
