I think we paid close to Rm4k when it launched last time. Of course that time we go the pre-order goodies back then,

I bought the Mate 30 partly because of the support we need to give to Huawei, to keep them going. But if they don't buckle up on their HMS or their workaround for GMS, I'm not going to buy another device until they have sorted out this issue.

Ah... the tested and reliable Samsung. nod.gif Maybe you could try Oneplus for your next adventure.

Yeah i'm tempted to try another Huawei flagship just because of their battery life is so good. I used to be with P30 pro which has good battery life AND GMS support, somehow sold it and now stuck with S10 (company phone).

Yeah, the retail price of the M30 Pro would be too steep for me to pay for the experience of living without GMS (or at least attempt to) but 2299 is very tempting indeed. Will go try a demo set first as you suggested. To be honest, I've not walked into a Huawei store since they stopped putting GMS in their phones!
LOL! laugh.gif

Be sure to test out the Mate 30 Pro 5G too, who knows that the funky orange color might be up for your taste. biggrin.gif

Love Huawei products too, but they're still too far from closing down their business so they have plenty of money to lose.

The problem is they have to keep on with HMS and get more apps into it since getting an app developer to port the same app from GMS to HMS is not that difficult to do since it's still Android after all. But going for Harmony OS (if the mobile version ever exists) will be very tough because it's a whole new OS.

One thing for sure, Huawei is probably never gonna get back GMS even if Biden takes over Trump.
