usually low end speakers have that issue. How much u pay is what u get?

Maybe he test at the edifier showroom and no sound u go back u test on your your audio got also useless right. If u need a high end thing to use a low end thing means more spending $$$.

If a low end works on any low end device means the speaker have good build in technology

what i suggest you do is get a mp3 song 1 with 64kbps bit rate another 192 k bps bit rate take your CD and test on their system there.

Our taste and your taste might not be the same. Like me i use optical for my audio it sound clearer and sharper compare to traditional cable.

okay.
i read tru each and every posts and threads and i am really going crazy now.

im currently trying to look for a 2.1 system. but doesnt really know how to cuz this is the first time im getting a 2.1 system. my budget will be below rm200 (or above?)

but with a budget like that i dotn think i could get any of the recomandations models in here.

im into gaming and music. tried out m2300 yesterday and it actually peforms better than the atp3, atp3 distorts at high volume. but then again, read tru some post where someone actually doesnt recommend m2300.

i dont know. i really dont know.

really going crazy now. thanks

or should i get something around rm100? man i, am, crazy now

it's hard to get a different point of view from here. the only answer is to audition the speakers urself. most of the replies here tend to be bias. in ur case, our fellow forumers will reply "top-up some more and get aego-m " or other kind of replies which u shud probably know already since u've gone thru every post here. or worst case scenario, u won't get any reply at all.. (no offense here guys. democracy is power) cool2.gif

it's not correct to judge speaker by what people recommend....
but instead judge the speaker by your own ears....

1/2 year ago i was asking people about which speaker is the best for RM200.
tons of answers come out and i take a look at the characteristic that forumers mentioned.
it's relevant to the real life....

for example people said altec VS4121 have boomy bass while edifier M3300 is having sharp sounds.
(i was comparing all RM200 speaker listed here)
fortunately, when listening to both of them, i understand what fellow forumer speaks and in the end i ended up buying M3300 that day... months later, i have an opportunity to test some speaker that i want to test previously (but no chance cause no shops did that). luckily, i was very impressed by the M3300 cause all the speakers i'm comparing to are not as good as M3300 in my ear.

so finally, u see, i do not recommend buying speaker on what people say. but instead, listen to the speaker yourself... cause it's the best to avoid unsatisfactory. smile.gif

if u want to justify exactly how is the high.. mid .. bass of the speaker perform and don't believe other people said.. go n buy one spectrum analyser.. inject pink/white noise to the speaker.. let the analyser tell u the truth story.. tongue.gif tongue.gif

well, you dont buy a speaker because of the spec,is it???you buy a speaker that will satisfy you most while fitting your budget...and,human's ears only capable of 20Hz-20,000Hz,whats the point?just buy which suit you most

20Hz?? I doubt anybody here can hear 20Hz in even 20db... tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif

done some reinforcement to my BT3... add in some cusion to the satellite... open up the speaker.. found the top part like a Horn.. the sound traverl to the horn make the speaker generate some horn alike sound.. I put in cusion almost 80% covered the inside of the speaker...
it improve on the weird horn like sound.. but still have some plastic sound.. I think is come from the plastic face cover plate.. thinking some way to insulate the front plastic in the next step.. hmm.gif hmm.gif

i think 20db is still normal... below it than its harder...
i mean, when i test the software to "speak" 20hz, still can hear very2 low frequency...
but then if 20000hz... i think its the one which is undoubtedly most ppl cant hear... i try on different speaker and i cant hear a single pitch! mine stop somewhere at 18khz i think... cause 17500 still can hear slight... dunno bout how u ppl... or maybe my speaker sucks,, and when i check this on the internet. "they" said average ppl also sucks at17000 and above, esp. when u grow older...

dont buy speakers bcos someone recommend it. try to hear from it first then ask other ppl what they think and see whether it conform to what you think. dont do it based on other ppls opinion alone. its yours that really count.

Lacus - i saw one klipsch 2.1 selling in garage sale music thread for 330 or 320 if im not mistaken. thats within ur budget and its a good speaker.

besaid - haha nice one.
