thanks for the infos, guys  icon_rolleyes.gif
so in conclusion, is this casing worthy?  blush.gif  I'm kinda on tight budget, so couldn't buy anything else above RM350  sweat.gif

owh ya.. the psu is on the front right? How the hell i'm suppose to reach my not-so-long power cable from the back? Anyone using this casing too, here?  unsure.gif
*
your power cable just plug at the back of the case...there will be a cable to connect the psu..just like an extension wire..no need long power cable.. icon_rolleyes.gif

Not sure this is the correct place or not but this is a good review on the Lancool MetalBone K7. Nice case indeed. Definitely "looks" better than the LL version. Too bad its not full alu only.

Overall it's brilliant with combining all the latest features available on LL case ..

however two things could be complaint...

One of it the famous L-shape cover that help in stealths the cables extended from PSU is not present.

second is the length of the case, it's standard but with high end card that extend an inch longer .. plugging power cable would be problem ..

I think it's time the LL think of manufacturing cases beyond standard by increasing it's length or deep an inch or two more .. .to accommodate length of graphic card ..

another potential changes could be made by removing the 3.5' bay so that there's room for water cooling after the HDD cage beign removed .. then only this case would really rocks the days ... brows.gif

Overall really nice case ...

V series:
  1. Lack of HDD cooling design (try use all of the hdd bay, u'll know what i'm talking about)
  2. Lack of space for those gigantic tower cooler (check previous page, one forumer can't mount Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme facing the exhaust fan coz the fan clip of the cooler can't be fitted, block by the case floor)
other than that its perfect

but they need to revamp it all of the V model

just add few more inches like doom said coz nowdays pc hardware getting bigger & bigger doh.gif

chipset getting smaller, pcb getting longer/bigger grumble.gif

the smaller the chip are the bigger the cooler gonna get (TR IFX) grumble.gif

so much for small size (energy efficient) future computing rolleyes.gif

I am using V1200, I agree with E-J@1 that I can't use Thermalright 120-Ultra Extreme that facing the exhaust fan. Don't talk about Thermalright IFX-14.

I only can say it is old design.

@suicideroach
That's one of the reason I love A05 the most .. it could house in tower cooler without any issue at all .. there's plenty of room before touching the bottom surface of the case ...

@ahsiah
U could conclude that most tower cooler that accommodate 12cm fan would face problem mounting it vertically, either too tight or almost impossible to get it installed properly ...

@E-J@1
brows.gif finally someone agree on my discovery as well ...

I can say that all cooler that wider than 120mm got problem mounting in vertical way. Thermalright 120 Ultra Extreme and IFX-14 also wider than 120mm.

I am using Xigmatek 1283. No problem at all in vertical way.

I rather the case being designed to fit the cooler than the other way around ..

what's the point of spending so much of money yet can't get a nice decent case with sufficient space to work around ...

but look at the picture on cebit show,
the new revision of the V series are much more better,
just waiting it to hit the market ^.^

p/s: TRUE 120 can be mount vertically on the V1200 and V2000
dun use the clip given,
use some imagination ^.^

later i post up mine to show...

reverse airflow is not a con for that case .. the only cons it has is limited exhaust at the graphic card zone which lian li forgotten to make the side panel with side intake like v series and couple it with side patent fan..

this result relative hot graphic card zone .. so many A05 users would mod the top panel for intake or exhaust using single to dual 12cm fan ..

so if u are interested with this case and want to run it with 3870 ... better give a thought of modding the top or side panel to install fan ....
