Honestly, I find Note 10+ not bad actually (personally).
- Lack of headphone jack : I transitioned to BT audio, audio quality is acceptable for on the go listening, plus the convenience of being wire-free. For serious audio, I do it at home (Fidelio X2 + Aune X1S). Frankly, for serious audiophiles they will use their dedicated DAC/Anyway via USB anyway. One will say "LG has the Quad DAC!" Well, Samsung offers much more than I want in a phone.Plus, Samsung inckudes a USB C headphones in the box. Could put it in the bag as a backup.
- MEH Camera : Fortunately, camera is the last thing I consider in a smartphone. As long as it's decent, I'm fine by it.
What I like (and why I didn't consider S10+ or other brands) :
- 45W/15W wired/wireless charging- but wtf Samsung, are you seriously going the Apple route by including 25w charging?
- S Pen - I never had a note but I really wanted one, I figure I'll use the S Pen quite a lot. I'm always the event organizer in my group. The stylus should come in handy (taking notes, creating list, cropping and editing screenshots).
- Battery - I don't need an "all day" battery life but I figure 4300 mah is enough to give me the peace of mind? So I have constant access to chargers, home, office, car, powerbanks in my bag when I'm on the go. So my current S8 plus is frequently topped up. Note 10 is utilising Lithium Titanate battery, I just read that it has 10-20x better charge cycle durability. Please correct if I'm wrong.
-Front Camera : I prefer the dead center front placement compare to the dual camera on the S10+. It's just less intrusive to me.
- Exynos 9825 and UFS 3.0 : UFS is the bigger deal here. More speed then why not?
- Samsung's AMOLED screen : Nuffsaid.
- One UI : Personally, I think Samsung has the best skin of all Android variants out there. It's feature-packed and still considerably fluid. I would have considered Huawei if it wasn't for the EMUI. I've just noticed Samsung baked in the screen recording on the note 10s now. Finally. Some might call their features gimmicky but I really do utilise most of them, e.g. I can use a ruler or quick pop up calculator from the Edge panels, system wide dark mode, hidden nav bar, force apps to sleep etc. For useless features, I either disable or just ignore them as long as it's not interfering my life.
- Samsung Pay : I'm sure you guys will understand this.
To me, the reason that Note 10 exist:
- Songlap money from less informed consumers by offering smaller and cheaper model in their elite Note product line. Ppl will still feel like, hey, I have a Samsung Note dude.
- Trying to Songlap by forcing the enthusiasts and fanboys to play along their ever increasing pricetag game. The enthusiasts will just buy the note 10+ seeing just how BS the note 10 is.
So why I didn't buy one yet?
THE PRICE AND THE PO GIFT. WTF.
Samsung is smart with their storage game. They made note 10 starts with 256GB, so it looks like it's a power user option and consumer can justify the higher price tag. But c'mon, we all know memory price is dropped shit tons so they come up with this Songlap strategy.
I'll tunggu the price drop (as usual) to around 3.5k only beli.
Sorry for the wall of text. Just my 2cents.
