Just watched Minus One.... after I'm done with it only then I watched this VFX breakdown. Damm its hard to imagine so much of the scenes are actually CGI including the sea. They really deserved the Oscar

for the money they spent, the special effects achieved in G-1 is highly acclaimed.

G-1 and Dune 2 will be sharing a few oscars next year.

G-1 as a movie can get nominations several years in a row?

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire... is ok.

but it disappoints in some ways - poor acting, a not so fierce kaiju named Shimo, and a lady like Mothra.

this godzilla is not too mean, not as mean as that in G vs K or G-1.

however, it is rather fast paced, entertaining... at one stage, it feels like a Planet of the Apes movie.

not great but highly watchable. 3/5.

if u had watched Admiral: Roaring Currents 2014 and Hansan: Rising Dragon 2022, u should watch this last one in the trilogy, Noryang: Deadly Sea 2023.

this finale has naval battles involving japanese, korean n chinese fleets. 3.5/5.




Alienoid: Return to the Future 2024 is a sequel to Alienoid 2022.

this sequel is as good as the first one. i find this sci fi-fantasy saga v creative, humorous - time travel, ancient taoists, advanced aliens... 3/5.




the others, i will say..

.. The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare - 2.5/5... nothing exciting, light humor, pales in comparison to Inglorious Basterds.

.. Civil War - 2/5. strange why some people like this film. among the worst dystopian films i hv ever watched.

.. Atlas - 2.5/5... weak sci fi story, too much CGI.

.. To Catch a Killer - 3/5.. reasonable story and theme... but comes nowhere near Silence of the Lambs.

old fashioned good cop, bad cop story. good to see some old faces back - eddie murphy, kevin bacon, paul reiser. 2.5/5.

Had some time a couple of weeks back to watch movies that I couldn't watch before.

Bullet Train - Such an awesome movie, with comedy and action balanced throughout the movie. I might be biased because it had Japanese elements in it, but I really liked the visuals. And when it all come together at the end, it feels like all are falling down to their places nicely. What I really liked was each relevant characters have their brief intro, then continues back to main story. Feels the movie is complete at the end.

21 and 22 Jump Street - The first one feels more comedic that the sequel, but I'm glad they ended the sequels at the end of movie. Been meaning to watch since watching a couple of shorts from Instagram; "My name's Jeff" videos. Good light hearted movie for both.

Next on my list will probably Dune or Batman, hope I can enjoy both movies later.

The writings shown in the film allude to the place being Cambodia.

quite a disturbing story but we know there's a lot of truth in it. 3.5/5.
