Finally watched Interstellar in movie, had never seen it before (even trailers) and been postponing until I get better AV system. But then GSC is showing it for the WB100 anniversary, so immediately took the chance to watch it.

WHY NO ONE TOLD ME IT'S A SAD STORY
When the movie was out years ago, I went to cinema alone (so as not to be disturbed by family or friends), chose the best perfectly positioned seat of an big screen theater with best Atmos sound available, to enjoy the best cinematic experience for this film.
I ended up trying to hold my tears as I was there alone sitting besides a huge guy with lots of muscle, just in case that fella thought I was a sissy eunuch.
Ps: Just guessing you must be at middle age with your own young kid, am I right?

I was watching with my wife, and our 3 year old was playing outside with a babysitter. The scenes kinda hit me hard. I cried a bit even though I tried hard holding in the tears,
From my experience, any movies with time travel or something of that sort will usually end up a sad movies, unless you are talking about the Marvels et al where emotion is literally a non existence entity.
INTERSTELLAR is among the best movies i hv ever watched.
i dun see it as a sad story.
emotional, yes... but it's a story of hope, inspiration and human resilience.
while we destroy the planet everyday doing our little things, we hope some bright brains and brave souls will find a way out!
certainly an epic, comparable to 2001:A Space Odyssey. 4.5/5.
not even sure if i m going to rerun this.. the early entry of the space ship makes my house tremble from all the low freq from that movie.. looks like i need to get a new house to try on this..
