The New Lady and the Tramp is very well done, I like it! It is far better than New The Lion King. smile.gif 4 Star.
Off course original animation is 5 Star for me, but this remake is good also.

Hi, this show not showing in any cinema in the world.

It is Disney+ exclusive show.

Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood - 3 Star.

Hmm. I don't get why this film is having such high rating.

From total 2 hours 31 minutes is freaking slow and meaningless story.
Last 10 mins is wow! Awesome!

Leonardo acting was very great!
That it.

I give 3 star the max because of Leonardo acting and also the last 10 mins.

Actually this film can straight drag to last 10 mins to watch it.

Once upon a time in Hollywood, just like Inglorious Basteud, is a fiction based on real event. But Quentine changed the end results of history too. I think this film has to be watched like eating food. Slowly chew it, digest the flow, and enjoy the character development.

ps: Roman Polanski's wife Sharon Tate was murdered by Charles Manson's family who lives in outskirt California at that time. This was the real event.

Haha. Probably.

It is ok change the story since it is fiction but I find it is way too boring already, only ending kick in. Inglourious Basterds was far better and I love that.

a dearth of good movies lately.

luckily, a few good TV shows... these are "expanded reimagined remakes" of movies..., do check them out if u liked the movies.

.. Jack Ryan S02... this season resembles a bit of Clear and Present Danger 1994 (harrison ford).
S03, next year, is rumored to be a reimagined Hunt for Red October 1990.

.. Treadstone... a new series inspired and based on the Jason Bourne movies.

.. War of the Worlds... 2 series... 1 BBC, 1 Fox-Canal... remake, reimagined show of HG Well's classic novel and Spielberg/Tom Cruise movie 2005.

i am watching ALL of them! laugh.gif

watchmen (dc), mandalorian (star wars), batwoman, titans, doom patrol, swamp thing, black lightning... all based on same comics/stories as the movies.

since superheroes make so much $ in the movies, they want to milk some more with tv shows.

not all good la... some pretty crap too. biggrin.gif

The Irishman... is quite a piece of work.... from acclaimed Martin Scorsese who also did casino, goodfellas - american mafia crime epics... and the departed, wolf on wall street, shutter island, taxi driver, etc.

3 3/4 hrs long... not much action but not boring either... more of intense drama - of politics and crime.

but u gotta like his mafia movies or the godfather trilogy (from francis ford coppola) to like this.

star studded - robert de niro, al pacino, joe pesci, harvey keitel.

i enjoyed it... but i suspect the younger gen will not... maybe becos there is a lot of "old men" stuff in it. laugh.gif

3.5/5.

I took two separate evening to finish the movies, mainly because I didn't know it lasted that long.

Years ago people actually wrote about films where Al Pacino and Robert De Niro both works together was a rare feat. Godfather II was the first, but both never actually seen appeared together in the same scene. Both only appeared in the same scene many years later, in Heat. That was a notable event. Things are different now when they got older. Although De Niro has lost some sparks, appeared in a few low ranking films along the way in recent years, in good hand (like Martin Scorsese), he can still shine.

The Irishman needs to be enjoyed slowly, again, just like Once Upon a Time In Hollywood, the characters will grow along. Its based on real historical people, but unlike Quentine's work, Martin did not try to deviate too much from the fact, although one may argue about the authenticity of the whole film. I enjoy the film, the scripts, and the characters too. But to be honest, after years of watching Al Pacino, De Niro and older impression of Joe Pesci from the heyday of Goodfella, Casino etc, their character just need 10 minutes to form when I watch this Irishman.

This is a grey factor film, ie. the lights were all focus on older actors of 1980-90's. So younger audience may not enjoy it as much. But for movie buff, do indulge in the movie full of 1960's musics, Classic Cinematographic style of Scorsese, brilliant fast paced editing by Thelma Schoonmaker and finally enjoy the almost final bit of what Scorsese, joe pesci, de niro and Pacino can offer, and most of all, all four combined, to make this I think the final swan song of 70-80's Hollywood's best.

De niro, pacino collaboration was best in Heat. Until today, i still rate it as the best crime movie of all time.

Irishman is less gripping than the godfather trilogy but still great performances from the veterans.

Pacino is still the fiesty domineering character from scarface, heat and devil's advocate.

Deniro is still the smooth, cool, steady one.

Irishman and o.u.a.t.i. hollywood should be serious contenders in 2020 oscars.

I find ouati hollywood ok. 3/5.

It is a twisted fact cum fiction movie of tarantino... some real, some fictional characters.

The last bit is really the charlie manson murders of 1969, altered.

It has certain tarrnatino elements but is a far cry from his better works.

I rate it about same as Inglorius basterds... but not close to his best works in reservoir dogs, pulp fiction, kill bill 1,2.

Freaks 2018 is one interesting movie.

it is a low budget "x-men/mutant" genre movie.

while it hasn't got all the frills of x-men, it is quite good, i find.

fine acting all round esp the 7 year old girl.

the future of the director of this movie should be bright. 3/5.

OMG! This was the best "X-Men" film I ever watch! Very sentimental and more to realistic if you are "Freak"! 5 Star.
This probably will be the best film of the year 2019 I ever watch.

That kid - Lexy Kolker acting as Chloe was absolutely awesome and impressive!

couldn't wait anymore... so... watched ne zha 2019 in 1080p stereo 2.0, chinese audio+subs.

ne zha ‎哪吒之魔童降世 2019 is.... excellent. thumbsup.gif

anyone who knows a bit of chinese mythology and folklore will know ne zha, who may be second only to sun wukong (monkey king).

the film is a chinese animation, loosely based on the novel fengshen yanyi 封神演义 or investiture of the gods, about god and demons.

the ending is changed a bit from the original story... to have a happier ending, i guess.

the film is very well done, great animation/cgi, very lively characters, plenty of humor - great for the whole family.

the film is the 2nd highest grossing of all time in china (no. 1 being wolf warriors 2) and highest worldwide non-US animated film.

i rate it a 4/5, probably the best animated film i have watched.

will rewatch in 4k hd audio when available.

Just finish watching Abominable. A good animation, that Everest is so cute! 4 Star.
This yeti is cutest and better than Smallfoot.

The controversial "nine-dash line" animation.
