white storm 2 扫毒2天地对决 is an action thriller from director herman yau, hong kong.
it has nothing to do with white storm 扫毒 2013... not unlike SPL, SPL2, SPL3. starring andy lau, luis koo, michael mui... takes a cue from the godfather trilogy and fast&furious franchise - action full. do watch in lossless audio 5.1 at least! if u like this genre, it is good. i enjoyed it. 3/5.  |

Just finish watch Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. This was surprisingly good! An Adult Edition of Goosebumps. 4 Star.

 Watched The Art of Racing in the Rain this weekend. This is one of the time when Rotten Tomatoes not inline with majority of audience. Story being told from the dog perspective, it's a family / life drama that will bring your emotion to a roller-coaster ride. The best kind of people (and dog) and the worst kind of people are very well represented in this movie. It reminds us the reality of life. Very much recommended. QUOTE The Art of Racing in the Rain is a movie that will stir emotion. Milo Ventimiglia and Amanda Seyfried should be applauded for their acting but Kevin Costner steals the show as Enzo the dog's voice. |

a dearth of good movies lately.
luckily, a few good TV shows... these are "expanded reimagined remakes" of movies..., do check them out if u liked the movies. .. Jack Ryan S02... this season resembles a bit of Clear and Present Danger 1994 (harrison ford). S03, next year, is rumored to be a reimagined Hunt for Red October 1990. .. Treadstone... a new series inspired and based on the Jason Bourne movies. .. War of the Worlds... 2 series... 1 BBC, 1 Fox-Canal... remake, reimagined show of HG Well's classic novel and Spielberg/Tom Cruise movie 2005. i am watching ALL of them! |

IT chapter 2... is ok.
this movie is the 2nd half of IT where the 7 characters have grown up, 27 years later. maybe becos the story is very much 80's type, it does not come out as well in the current day. still, it has certain elements of horror (and humor) that keeps u going in the show. jessica chastain and james mcavoy leads. for those who have watched part 1, watch it; those who did not watch part 1, forget it... becos it keeps going back to the past. 3/5.  |

Midsommar - unsurprising / surprising ending! If you love cult film, you should watch this. 4 star.
From the director of Hereditary. The director said this is his 1st horror film, hmmm... this is not a horror film but Hereditary is a horror film where the director said it is his drama film... Finish watching 3022.
