Was just informed that a colleague recently accepted an offer to join Orsted. Took at a paycut from current oil and gas firm...
Join due to better benefits and also moving to green energy

Heard from my friend they have huge changes for their benefit, suit family men very much now, parental medical claim 1k, supplement 1.5k, parental leave 4 months, and still got some other claim like dental and sport...

Good for those with family

Wow, oil and gas bonus are quite good. Petronas and Shell average 3-6 months. Orsted bonus is capped to 1.5 months. It is mentioned in offer letter as well previously. I’m not sure either the new hired nowdays received samw info on this.

Normally you will get 1 months or 1.2 months because it is really depends on your performance.

You can PM me. I can help. Normally referral all need to apply via website. You just put my name as your referral. Hiring Manager later on will ask me about you personally.

My friend said after covid, no onboarding to Denmark anymore, unless it is for work, meaning not everyone will get the chance to go there. Is that true?
*
True, not all can go but majority can go. It is really depends on time. Some just join can go, some every year go and some haven’t got chance at all.

It is really depends

Yeah let me tell you one thing, base line salary is 12k for everyone (Senior) and not including other allowance ( mobile phone & internet) .

Got additional benefits as well. Generous annual leave and parental leave.

Oil and gas = 90% of headcount not working in Operators/ client like Petronas or shell.
Those outside the operators don't get crazy bonus...
So, better correct understanding to just Oil and Gas Operators.. Even that, its for the permanent staff..

Ahh right. But if you jump to IT services , bonus is less. 1 month is something you can expect. It is average.

I do have a friend who worked there..he said bonus is not that high which tallies with what you guys have been saying here - about 1 to 1.5 months. However the benefits are good and working hours are quite flexible. Salary wise I also don't think they can offer very good unless you are already underpaid but like deckhand said they don't lowball and they give you according to the market rate.

My friend told me that they are expanding this year...hiring a lot of IT staffs. Probably cutting headcounts overseas and hire Malaysia here cause we are cheap labors tongue.gif

Agree on salary wise. If you are underpaid, then you will see as a big jump. But if you’re above market, sometimes you need to get a paycut or less than 10% increment. Some of my referral accept, some were rejecting. Anyhow, you have your own bill to pay.

Malaysia rate are super cheap and even the engineering also expanding. Local Malaysia Eng/IT folks are talented and cheap(rate)1 europe guy can pay 3-5 resources in Malaysia.

So on one hand it's good because we get more opportunities due to cheap rate...on the other hand we are cheap labor like bangla to them rclxub.gif
