QUOTE(minizian @ Sep 2 2019, 12:10 PM) I read about stories Americuns solder (normal grunt and tier one guys) have issues adapting to local SEA jungle conditions? Like they are not used to the way local do their stuff and their bail out their training etc? Depends what you are talking aboutNeeding to acclimatise to the tropical jungle is obviously inevitable Following the way the local do their stuff? They may consider some things are unnecessary for their style of warfare. E.g., they would be used to having more equipment and would not need to do some of the things we do QUOTE(minizian @ Sep 2 2019, 12:54 PM) Or both?? Comparing whoose dick is longer and stronk? And in BelizeIf i not mistaken the Brits have jungle traning school/Camp in brunei? Exercises together can be demonstrative type or interoperability type. One type is just for diplomacy and showing off discreetly. Another type is more about practising to work together for reals |

QUOTE(atreyuangel @ Sep 18 2019, 01:23 PM) UCAV mcm skrg ni la, after a year baru congress lulus Sabar sabarplus instead of FMS deal that is much cheaper now we have to buy a full amount of the unit I can't remember the original FMS deals with the US, but dirt cheap compare to a full price of course with FMS we need to share data with the US, but the the UCAV also comes with that term since it is comes with US weapons suite but damn.. US congress offered us Sea Guardian la pulak and of course my bias starts to kick btw the old government policy with the mindef is not to starts a UCAV scenario in the Spartly since if by the looks of it, Malaysia will be the first to deploy a weaponize drone in that area and other country will surely follow suit. A year is short in defence terms. We can wait that long for dropping Hellfire video game Even info sharing not a big problem since we can use US drone to cover Esscom and buy others to cover... elsewhere Other countries putting UCAV in SCS not big problem, we dont have (much) territory dispute with them, just with you know who And funnily enough I couldn't give a fuck if you know who gets pissed when Pinoy Vietbu etc all start deploying armed UAVs |

https://edition.cnn.com/2019/09/24/world/ru...intl/index.html London & Moscow (CNN)A walrus attacked and sunk a Russian Navy landing boat in the Arctic Ocean last week, with no one hurt in the incident. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the female animal was protecting its calves when it targeted the craft carrying researchers to the shore of Cape Geller in the Arctic. Those on board were members of a joint expedition by the Northern Fleet -- Russia's naval fleet in the Arctic -- and the Russian Geographical Society (RGO). The ministry said: "Serious troubles were avoided thanks to the clear and well-coordinated actions of the Northern Fleet servicemen, who were able to take the boat away from the animals without harming them." The RGO explained in a statement that the boat had "sunk" but confirmed that everyone had reached shore safely. note: pic is from another article, it was a landing craft that came from this Russian ship ![]() This post has been edited by KLthinker91: Sep 26 2019, 01:02 AM |

QUOTE(MilitaryMadness @ Sep 24 2019, 04:10 PM) I think really buff pipul not that suited for military. Looks impressive but not that useful for military duties. Better wiry pipul with very high stamina. Yes and no, depends on the jobFor one thing you need a lot of food to maintain that muscle mass. A month's field exercise feeding on rations would shrink back a guy like that. Spec Forces tend to go for smaller people, because they need a certain mentality more important than physical Marines and engineers tend to be huge as their jobs have high physical requirements Maintaining muscle mass in the field isn't that big a deal because they do not expect to be on limited rations for long, and besides, they still get better initial performance Re: that officer? that's not super buff, look at this guy: ex-Army White House chef ![]() |
