Hi guys, just registered my ASNB account in alliance bank. Didn’t pay anything at all.

I understand from the officer by end of the day my info should be in ASNB.

Then can I register MyASNB online? Is it correct?
*
when you register online, you need to specify a fund you already own......which you don't have any.

For my case, I had to buy minimum 100 units each to open account at ASB branch, then I registered online for myasnb. You can try to register for myasnb to see. You will need to key in the TAC sent to your registered mobile phone number.

I guess that was before they allow buying new units via Myasnb for the fund you don't have.

Will the "Switching" amount calculated for dividend?

For eg I switch 100 units from ASM1 to ASM2, will it take minimum amount of units in both ASM1 (after switch) and ASM2 (before switch)?

Regarding the switching feature, I am scratching my head on how it works? Especially when there is no units available

Suggest you go ASNB branch open an Fixed Price ASX fund either ASM or ASM2 or ASM3 (for non-bumi) with minimum RM100. If fund not available, alternative you can buy Variable price fund RM10 or RM100 (not sure minimum) just to have ASx account. After that you can go back and register myASNB online. flex.gif

extra $10 to save time and for some, petrol and parking to nearest agent/PNB itself.

I assume follow the month's minimum balance rule. Meaning that if you switch after the 1st, both fund lose dividend for the amount you switch.

ASN can easily retain units no?

sometimes bankers also don't know.

since you already open account, try register online and see can or not loh.

And go buy $10, not $100. The lower the amount, the higher the chance to strike.

She already has ASN account and units years before me. Just need to ensure phone number is registered with ASN for the TAC.

Nowadays most people use IC number to trace other accounts. no need ASN account although she brought her ASN passbook along.

What I mean is:

I doubt switching from ASM to ASW will work if there is no units available

Maybe they "block" some units for this purpose??
That's why they charge rm25 for each transactions 💪
If not, why even introduced if always no units... I'm sure they done research

yeah, when people sell, they can retain units mah. Or simply add your switch request into a special queue, when there are units available, switch immediately before releasing to public.

someone has to try and find out smile.gif just now I tried 99999999 (don't remember how many 9s, probably 99m) and system allowed me to proceed.

I guess we need to wait for brave volunteers that willing to risk RM25 to try this.
