I registered for mom's friend few months back and confirm what big sis nexona said is true. need to specify a fund you already owned.

Suggest you go ASNB branch open an Fixed Price ASX fund either ASM or ASM2 or ASM3 (for non-bumi) with minimum RM100. If fund not available, alternative you can buy Variable price fund RM10 or RM100 (not sure minimum) just to have ASx account. After that you can go back and register myASNB online.

I wanted to buy ASM/ASM2/ASM3 but there were no quota for these 3 fund. So i requested to buy variable price fund with RM10 to let me able to use MyASBN for future fixed price fund purchasing. But they told me the minimum initial invest amount is RM100 for all fund.

No more issue ASNB account book. Just open account and may give you ASNB Account number print out on A4 paper. Go back register MYASNB online.

Hello Bro, this is my question... I thot asm1 is Not capital guarantee.... Yet your reply is capital is fixed???! This is my dilemma.

I think chances of PNB bankrupt is very very very low, but not impossible.
