I went to Hong Leong i think end of Sept to open an account, was told RM100 to open an account
Then i requested to check if my ASM2 still active (i've lost passbook and didn't have any activity since opening after it launched -RM50), luckily still there!
Then the bank told me i can buy the FP funds online myself, and suggested to come back for a new launch product on the following week, similar to what mentioned in previous posts (min 30k, 30% ASM3, 70% Amanah Saham Imbang 1 or 2), but that time they didn't have much info to show yet.
Frustrated things was that i told them i need to have my hp# updated so that i can register/login online, they insisted i can do it online myself as long as i have the account number/IC to register my hp myself
I was convinced that they dont really know how the registration works when i went to the other HL branch ~11.10am, told me the same thing i can update my hp online. I showed them a brochure found in the bank itself on the steps to register. Next frustrated thing was, the only person who has rights to do it went for lunch, will only be back after an hour

hahahahaa ya the moment i sat down at bank , i know they will push me other things.....

i heard about the tricks at the bank before i had my asnb online setup done. here in Sarawak, they either want rm80 under table commission or talk you into buying vp funds in thousands. so the naive me and my cousin went to the local (bintulu) asnb office and got a number. the counter staff ended up telling my cousin, they refuse to service us because of our race. the staff even went on saying, their service is for 'all those sitting in the waiting area'... pointing at the 'majority race' . our luck ran out so we left.

we ended up getting a bank officer in sibu to get our online account setup. since then, I had been patiently typing captha on asnb online

yep. i thought bank officers are ruthless at first... and that in this day and age, asnb officer/staff should be more 'open minded'. for the record, that was nearly 1 year ago. also for the record, the friendly bank officer who ended up helping (without under table commission) works for ambank sibu. the moral of my story is, just be 'patient' dealing with the bank officer in starting up your asnb online. try to be diplomatic and not invest thousands in vp (if that is not what you really want to do). i manage to start by investing rm100 only. in my experience, dealing with the bank officer is far 'easier' than dealing with the evil asnb staff.

that day I tot I taw a puddy tat 30k a pop ASM2 every morning at ~7am. just need to wake up at 6.50am and throw some spears at 7am. 有何難?
