yesterday I requested for VS via call.

no outright grant rebate. same script of no more SST rebate this year.

however, cs offered spending criteria to earn the rebate. rm500 retail spending (no ewallets or bill payments) within 60 days.

still better than nothing. CS put a note for tracking later.


so far, my VS' SST rebates for past year or so, will need spending (higher criteria).

other cards like PIB can easily get rebate outright.


*update** made a retail spend, posted on 14 May. next day 15 May, cb automatic credited without calling back

CS with proper LOA is available to authorize/approve.

now you know why dont bother applying from branch...

they dont have authority to approve your application. they are just "collecting" your documents and pass to HQ where the card dept is.

2) this Islamic card, when was the approval date?

just spend accordingly by the 1st statement date printed on the letter lo.

did you read the letter where the card is attached to?

your pre-determined statement date is printed there.


in pbe portal, it wont show cuz 1st statement not out yet.




cb capping yes .... rm750 eligible spend for rm30 cb .... from now until 1st statement date.

yep, including bill payments too

dont think there is a fixed list of exclusions. it's up to the CS to spell out and note down in the system.

i'm also not sure how accurate is their tracking. but just follow as per stated by them.
