What do most people do first ? Call to waive/rebate SST ?

Or just activate Mastercard and call to cancel the Visa ?

You can try to call to rebate sst. Visa is more useful now compare to before 1st September.

Actually when I spoke to the customer service guy at the bank, he said will auto get rebate SST upon receiving cards, so I dont need to do anything, but just want to double check.

Public bank quantum Mastercard = online transaction with OTP/PAC.

Public bank quantum Visa card = contactless transaction. Use paywave = contactless = physical wave card in physical shop/store.
Before 1st september, Visa card = entertainment and departmental transaction.

Edit: Yes, Both RM30 + RM30 cashback from 1st September 2019 onwards.

I understand MasterCard used if want to topup BigPay, but will Visa still get RM30 cashback if pledge RM600 onto BigPay, or that does not fall under "physical" ?

You can get 5% contactless CB if you can wave your card at the card machine, if Bigpay provides this top-up option.
Online is not a part of contactless. Commonly we call it Paywave instead of contactless.
