I see, if the CL is 12k, and i swipe 11k in the single transaction, i will have to inform the bank as well ?
the credit limit is there for a purpose, which is the allowable limit you can spend using the card
if you over-spend the available CL (not the total CL), technically card issuer (Public Bank) would block that transaction.
however, cc has overdraft/overlimit feature that allow minor allowance past your CL. some banks may impose certain fee, some give certain % allowance, some may block.
for each your respective bank (public bank and maybank, in your case), contact them to enquire some info
1) does your card allow over-limit? or block immedately?
2) any fees for over-limit?
3) any specific % or RMxx for over-limit?
if you reluctant to call the bank and still want to proceed, do at your own risk. or try ask merchant to accept multiple card payments (from pbb and maybank cards which you are having available CL)
