Honda design now all going backwards...

The new Honda Hornet 1000 looks like a 10 year old Z1000 sugomi. And just look at the way they stuck the dash on. Lol.

To think they replaced the gorgeous neo retro CB1000R with this....lol.

Yeah definitely predict some slight price increase.

Just don't wanna regret what if the bike comes in like after few months or within a year or so.

Likely possible scenario?

What would you do if you were in my shoe?

I rather get the current bike. I prefer the round headlamp rather than the new one.
The e clutch doesn't seem like much for me since I don't do zoomies and I kinda like playing with the clutch. And I don't wanna pay more just for some headlamp change which I don't like in the first place. Their e clutch is still new so I am afraid it might not be that good in terms of reliability

On its look, I think I don't mind both the models design, won't mind the sharper tail light too, but agree with you that it is personal, I don't mind the front headlamp design. Meanwhile on the air intake, I think I prefer the current one too, but to be fair, we haven't seen the new one in real life yet also. Who knows I might like it. Hehe

On e clutch, I think it is kinda interesting one to have and you have the flexibility in terms of whether you want to use the clutch or not. On reliability, I think I can trust Honda that they have put in many hours behind it in making sure it is tested and proven before selling to the mass market.

But the one thing that I really like is the new full color tft, which you can't retrofit it on the current bike....

So in terms of availability of the new bike I get mixed response that it would be available by mid next year or another guy told me by the end of next year....

2021 Cb650r owner here. I love bike because of 4pot, small in size n the hp it churn out and not forgetting the price.

I dislike top down is heavy, my previous z900rs also double disc does not feel as heavy.

Anyone can ride straight fast, even corner. Am now learning to better handle the bike by riding slow, to try master full lock at each turn. Not easy, all the utube looks easy but in fact not easy with these bikes. Practise n practise is the only way.

wonder if their service is better than BWPJ or not, (claims/servicing etc) since they have pretty bad reviews when they were selling triumph bikes back then. wonder how is it now

can I spoil it for you? the engine is weak, and it has quite tall gearing

the fun wears off quite quickly, can get bored of it rather quickly

I like the tall gearing to be frank, but because it's 650cc, it will feel underpowered after a while
I like the bike ever since gen1 with the conventional forks, and followed in til gen2 with the gearing changes

Now I have a Honda... scooter

are you referring to a specific model? the older or the new 2024 model? they are sharing the same engine, no?

but for me enough la 500cc and above and 92 horses. good enough.
