I sold my cb650r less than 2 months. Find that it's unsuitable for long distance riding with butt aching, strong wind during high speed, fuel tank capavity small and bike size too small for my height 182cm. Do love the look and finishing of the bike.

Just ordered a Tracer 9GT

yaka? im 180 and am thinking of upgrading to cb650r from cb250r.
would also like tracer 9gt but its too big for city riding lane filtering?

all new stocks that are coming in are 2022 batch, none is 2023, based on what the dealer says.
and they cant be sure if the new cb650r would be coming in or not also in 2024

heh, same situation as you i too have made booking for the CB650R and if its discontinued next year...i most prolly will be taking Z900
purpose of the bike is mainly for long distance travelling with minimal vibration at high speed, but the Z900 fuel consumption of 15km/l abit putting me off compared to others that has 21-23km/l

actually this situation is kinda funny for me, i booked with the pj branch, but i went to the new damansara outlet, i put down my name, and following week there's a bike with the colour of my choice there available for me already, cos the previous person who wanted this got his loan rejected. so i am thinking if i get lucky or what. i waited only for 1 week, and i prolly take 1 week to sell my bike, interchange my number plate and make full payment.

initially i was also looking at Monster, but for me, it is definitely gonna be a waste and i think cb650r would be more than enough for me already.

wait what? what color did you choose? and now there's a new bike waiting for you to pick up at the damansara outlet? that's really fast.
its really up to you, to me i think if you plan to keep the bike for long then it shouldnt be a problem. reason why i want it is because of its looks, small size (the handlebar is rather short compared to other bikes so easier to filter through traffic) inline 4, and the brand is known for its reliability.

from what i see from their FB they're doing better job than the PJ big wing in getting more bikes...

wonder if their service is better than BWPJ or not, (claims/servicing etc) since they have pretty bad reviews when they were selling triumph bikes back then. wonder how is it now

ahhhh, so many thanks for your explanation, it makes a lot of sense to me.

and provided me a lot of comfort as well!

Which colour are you getting? for your new CB650R. Which branch did you order from? I suggest you may try the new Damansara outlet too.

boss, have you gotten your bike yet?

Hey owners,

I'm currently in the market for my first bike, primarily for weekend rides. Since I’ve never ridden a bike before, I’m getting mixed opinions about whether I should go for a lower-cc bike instead of a 650cc. I'm particularly interested in the CB650R with the e-clutch and would love to hear some feedback from current owners. Is it a wise choice?

you wouldnt want to be handling a heavy bike right from the start, will likely dampen your confidence and you wont enjoy it. should read the other thread where someone wanted to get a middleweight and has no prior experience in riding a bike.
