It was Unity Kitchen quoted RM50k+ rclxub.gif

50k for these? rclxub.gif

You can get solid aluminium (note: semi-fix) for probably RM20k± only.
I want to recommend the company I worked at (self promotion lol) but unfortunately we don't cover Cyberjaya

If anyone else read this you can search for our humble aluminium kc / door / window factory: Long Wide Aluglass. For now we can only cover Melaka, Johor and N9.

Looking into the possibility of saving some $$$ by DIY installing the LED lighting for the cabinet instead of getting it from the cabinet supplier.

May I know is it easy to do? Would apreciate if anyoen that has this experience can share some info.

Thanks

BTW I noticed that there are basically 2 tyes of finishing on the stainless steel undermount sink. With the curved corner vs right angle corner as per the pictures below.

May I know what are the pros and cons, and which one do you prefer and the reason?

Thanks

go for Ikea cabinet LEDs. a bit pricy but minimal effort required for DIY

https://www.ikea.com/my/en/p/mittled-led-ki...white-50359633/

can look in youtube for guides as well

if you understand Mandarin and shop in Taobao before, you got more choices. there's LED strip that is similar to the ones by Ikea above but designed to fit into 90 degree angle corner which makes it look nicer

yea that works. if lighting is all you need, then it should work.

usually the pro install have aluminium channel and a diffused plastic cover. thats the item needing a router to flush mount into the cabinet panel.

Thanks for the info. Yes I normally buy stuff from Taobao also. Will have a look around there also.

BTW is there anything to take note when considering the lighting? I see there are a few options locally: T5, eye ball, led strip etc. Any suggestions about this as well?

Also I have went to a few showrooms to see the KC design, but will be great if anyone can share some picture on your lighting design nod.gif

Thanks

thanks, maybe due to i'm clicking from desktop. this looks good to fit at the back corner

now need to see how to run the wiring. normally where's the best location for the wireman to terminate the light point ya? last time when using T5, they just put it at the middle of the top cabinet, at around 5ft height. so now with this type of lights, shall i ask him to terminate at either of the side of the top cabinet instead?

take the picture below for example, shall i terminate the lighting wire at either of the red circle area?

thanks

I would recommend Bespoke Kitchen in Puchong. They did mine and all alignments are perfect. Hard to find quality work these days.

Anyone here using solid plywood cabinet?

Just wondering is the laminate smooth or not smooth?
And the joints of the laminate does it have like 1mm gap?

Really depends on what you ask for. You should talk to them and ask. I would say they are pretty reasonable.

Dry kitchen - plan to keep the concrete structure, perhaps a quartz stone over it, and change to melamine doors

Wet kitchen - keeping the concrete structure as well, and perhaps change to aluminium doors

Tall Cabinet - Melamine perhaps.

Any other better suggestions ? do let me know ...
