Legion 5 customize: apply code LENXCIMB (RM4032.20)
R7-4800H, GTX1650, 16GB RAM, 512GB/1TB SSD (first storage, can add SSD in second M.2 slot later), 300nits 60Hz, 80Wh battery

R5-4600H is also fine if you want to save some money
*
Is ur recommendation for storage is 512GB SSD + 512GB SSD (since second slot cannot be 0?) or is it I pick dummy hard for first slot and second slot is 1tb ssd?)

If I want to save some money, should I go with

-R7-4800H, GTX1650, 16GB Ram, 1TB HDD + 512GB SSD, 300 nits 60hz, 60wh battery(RM3872)
or
-R5-4600H, GTX1650, 16GB Ram, 1TB HDD+1TB SSD, 300 nits 60hz, 60wh battery (RM3816)

which one is better for performance?

Dota, sims 4 - but the specs for the game smoothness can be set at lowest priority

Non gaming laptop

Moderate colour display is fine

For your usage I think 8GB with upgradeable slot / 16GB non upgradeable RAM would be better

Lenovo Ideapad Slim 5i customize (code LENXCIMB)
-i5-1035G1 (not a good CPU for heavy workload TBH), 16GB, 1TB+128GB, 300nits IPS, MX330, backlit kb, 57Wh battery, AX WIFI
Lenovo Ideapad S540-15IML 81NG0068MJ / 69MJ +RAM

Choose SSD in first storage. After that the second storage will be actually displaying the first option, instead of having 2 SSDs. By doing that you're be able to get 80Wh battery (which I recommended to you)

4800H will of course faster than 4600H

You mean the one with Ryzen 4500U? (SF314-42)

Swift 3 isn't a performance orientated Ultrabook and IMO your workload require good CPU performance

any reason to avoid A512? I somehow like the wide screen feature. not taking gaming into consideration, is there any other laptops you would recommend with similar specs like A512?

Mind low sRGB display (washed out colours)? Mind non-upgradeable RAM?

Hi looking for a laptop for my 65 year old father to use to work from home. Ideally 16" size(because he cant see letters too small) but not too heavy/bulky. He mainly needs it to send and reply emails, uses applications like Word and pdf reader so doesn't have to be high spec. Not too heavy because he might carry it around. SSD would be nice to have but not compulsory.
