Dark Mode
Beautiful new look
A new Dark Mode option gives iOS and apps a beautiful dark color scheme. Perfect for low-light environments, Dark Mode is easier on your eyes and won’t disturb people around you.
Turn on manually
Tap the new button in Control Center to quickly turn Dark Mode on and off, such as when you enter a dark room or theater.
Wallpapers
New wallpapers optimized for Dark Mode automatically change as you switch between light and dark.
Scheduled
Have Dark Mode turn on and off at a certain time or based on sunrise and sunset, which is great when you’re outside at night or using your iPhone before you go to bed.

Photos
All-new Photos tab
The all-new Photos tab lets you browse your photo library with different levels of curation, so it’s easy to find, relive, and share your photos and videos. You can view everything in All Photos, focus on your unique photos in Days, relive your significant moments in Months, or rediscover your highlights in Years.
Auto-playing Live Photos and videos
Throughout the Photos tab, muted Live Photos and videos begin playing as you scroll, bringing your photo library to life.

Adjust Portrait Lighting intensity
Virtually adjust the position and intensity of your studio lighting. Increase the intensity of each Portrait Lighting effect — moving the light closer to your subject — to smooth skin, sharpen eyes, and brighten facial features. Or decrease the intensity of the light — moving it away from your subject — for a subtle, refined look.
High-Key Mono
A new Portrait Lighting effect, High-Key Mono, creates a beautiful, classic look with a monochromatic subject on a white background.

For the keynote to start, the keynote would probably last for about 2hrs so around 3am only get the beta

Developer beta available now, public beta later this month.

From what I read, nothing really outstanding except for the long overdue dark mode. Will watch the podcast tonight.

Yup, same on XR. Very fast. Anymore faster i am not sure can feel anything or not. lol

too fast could be a problem as well.. sometimes i haven't finish checking whats on the lock screen and im already in..... good problems lol

What's the bug?

There are quite a few bugs that I’ve discovered

The chrome address bar doesn’t look right(web address not as dark as it used to be )
3D have a noticeable delay on the home screen
3D Touch in control center doesn’t work like half of the time
WhatsApp lags when opening( sometimes)
WhatsApp notification doesn’t show content even though it’s set to show content
Chrome is full of bugs
- force close kills chrome
- forum.lowyat.net(at least) not responding to add reply, edit actions



WhatsApp web/desktop not working properly - keeps saying no connection

Microsoft teams ui font looks very off( looks like it’s currently using time new Roman )

Nope, it’s a pain to get it installed actually without a Mac 🖥 (no money for one) maybe when apple makes it available to iTunes to restore without Xcode

How's the 3D touch on iOS 13? Apple getting rid of it, although, I hope not.

Is the feature gone?

On my iPhone 7 it appears that they replaced it with haptic touch, disabling 3D Touch in the settings would still allow the shortcut menu to appear in the home screen when you long press on it and it’s not as responsive as 3D Touch. To go to wiggle mode on the home screen, you’ll need to do a very long press on the app icon

I feel they should keep Force touch and see if can improve further. I know they want to standardize but still there is potential.

We are talking milliseconds here so 50% should be just slightly faster than now.

Yeap, I believe it wouldn’t be much diff than current...it’s super fast on top of the already super fast..

Official release will be in September, when the new iPhone launches.

Yeah finally I don’t have to rely just only my TV whenever I want to game.

initially i wanted to wait for public beta but my hands are so itchy- therefore installed on my 8 plus. Buggy as expected, i really liked dark mode and new volume hud

It can be either turned on permanently or gradually progress from light to dark based on either schedule or based on sunset and sunrise.

I’m not using the 8+ but an iPhone 7, but I’ve already found many bugs like

- chrome
> unexpected force quit
> forum.lowyat.net not working properly( in chrome)
-3D touch got replaced with haptic touch
- WhatsApp not working properly
- WhatsApp notification doesn’t show message content even though you’ve set it to show content
-ASUS router app not working( can’t detect/connect to the router)

Hopefully beta 2 will be better and brings back 3D Touch

Anyone on Maxis experience issues receiving calls while on 4G? Having trouble switching automatically to 3G when call comes in.
Verified that it’s not SIM card issue by switching to another phone.

Try selecting 4G data only

Maxis doesn’t support volte, when you try to enable volte(4G voice and data), iOS 13 will warn you about it

i do having same issue sometimes... perhaps you can change to 4g only.. as suggested previously by yongtjunkit

what about you.. are u running the beta now? tell us how the game perform

tried selecting 4G data only but still doesn't work.

I have yet to make the jump as my primary phone is an iphone.

For beta 1 and 2, so far no issues with pubg on iPhone 7 but Fortnite would crash in game

Also you might want to hold off since in beta 1 WhatsApp isn’t functioning properly, beta 2 slightly better but not 100% functional( bugs not affecting the ability to send and receive message so far)

Still staying for the beta, the issues aren’t major enough to justify me to go back to iOS 12 since new beta builds are coming out probably every 2 weeks and with the public beta builds coming probably by the end of June

Counting the days to PB

Beta 2 the volume hud have moved from the side to the top and the orientation is horizontal. Don’t know if this is intentional or Apple is experimenting.

Overall experience in beta 2 is good. Didn’t have much problems when running beta 1 too. Just wished they would fix the incoming call screen taking up the entire screen.

Is there an increase in storage space as Apple promised to make apps and updates smaller in size?

the smaller app, smaller app update won't be available till September( when ios 13 is released to the public)

This may need the app developer to optimize for IOS13.

So far no issue playing the games mentioned. Only that swiftkey keyboard is not working properly for whatsapp. native keyboard is still good.

So far so good. No bug have been found yet despite negative comment on the net. Eveything seems to work fine for now.
