okay, now i have ATI Radeon x550 and planning to upgrade to nVidia geforce 8500GT.

1) Is it consider an upgrade or a downgrade, cause i dono which 1 is faster graphic card. if an upgrade is the upgrade worth it or the difference in graphic performance is big.

2) If so anybody has the benchmark test from the same website for these cards using the same benchmarking software.

Is there any difference if using DDR2 graphic memory and DDR3 ? If say DDR2 has 512MB memory and DDR3 has 256 memory, which card is faster ?

A mobo don't bottleneck a graphics card, CPU does (even this doesn't matter much), as long as it have PCIe X16 you'll be fine

r u refering to 8500gt or 8600gt? anyway, regardless the card model.. ddr3 have better performance than ddr2. moreover, if the vga only have 128bit, it's not wise to take ddr2 512mb because it can't even catch up the speed to fully utilise 512mb.

first, u need 2 identical nvidia gc that support sli. then plug it on mobo that support sli(must has 2 pci-e slot n use nvidia chipset, supposely nf570 or better). then plug sli bridge, switch on ur pc. settle.

Yup, download CPU-Z and should see how many slots u have under SPD tab. Laptop usually max have 2 slots only.
